You can help the gorgeous island that you love right now‼️ Puerto Rico is having a severe water crisis right now. Residents are being notified that their water will be rationed in 48 hour rotations in parts of the city. Wedding clients of mine are also being impacted in the short term, which tells you how acute the problem is for a tourism-driven economy. 🤗 You can be part of the solution! I will be taking donations for a community-led drive for water jugs to help the most vulnerable resident populations, with the incredible Pastor Nilka Marrero at Iglesia Metiodista San Pablo in Barrion Obrero. My clients are amazing and have directed tips and donations to helping the resident population before, and I’m so happy that we are attracting such generous couples.

What can couples do to make modern weddings feel unique, yet meaningful? For Bianca & Chase, it was incorporating a handfasting ritual — an ancient tradition where the couple's hands are wrapped with cords to symbolize their lives being tied together. This perfectly complemented their personal vows, historic venue, and diverse guest list.

This beautiful ritual is actually where the phrase 'tying the knot' originated. Moments like these make creating custom ceremonies so fun.

I love uncovering cultural traditions and rituals that make each wedding uniquely theirs- especially when working with multi-cultural couples!

Six years ago I became ordained to help a friend whose officiant ghosted them during the pandemic. Today I get to travel all over la isla del encanto helping hundreds of people say “I do” in a way that feels authentic to their love. I’m lucky to be here doing something I’m so passionate about, supported by my own love aka Mr Paradise Vows. Thank you to all of my clients, fellow vendors, family/friends, and Puerto Rico for sharing this journey with me! Let’s keep going with lucky #7!

With lots of moving parts, it is important to find the flow before the ceremony day so that you can arrive prepared and excited for your day without having to answer last minute questions from mom, groomsman, and everyone in between! Your elopement, your vision, your way.

These love birds were contagiously giddy to get married. And any pre-ceremony jitters quicky washed away when they had the space to just “be” in their moment together.

The groom’s Puerto Rican heritage and the bride’s Spanish heritage were honored in the location chosen: El Morro in Old San Juan. It looked like a castle in the fairytales, and that is exactly how I would describe these high school sweethearts’ love story… a fairytale. 🏰💗

He thought he was going to a romantic dinner on the beach. He was not. 😂 And his beautiful reaction showed that we got away with the surprise!

For weeks, we had a cover story. I was the “travel agent,” his wife was my co-conspirator, and their family was secretly making their way to Puerto Rico.

Then he arrived at the beach. Surprise! Welcome to your vow renewal surrounded by the family you’ve built together. ❤️

After 25 years of marriage, they weren’t starting over, they were celebrating everything they’ve built and choosing each other for the next 25.

Apparently, Paradise Vows can add undercover travel agent to the résumé. 🌴
