We're excited to share that Electronic Break Glass by @jack.fuse in collaboration with @paraform.id has won the 2025 Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL) award Product of the Year in the category of Physical Security.

The EBG addresses a challenge that security and building managers face regularly. Traditional break-glass systems require costly manual resets and leave buildings vulnerable after activation. The Electronic Break Glass revolutionises this process with automatic and remote reset capabilities, eliminating the need for on-site attendance. In automatic mode, the system can reset itself entirely without any operator involvement.

Designing a kitchen strainer through sketch, CAD and 3D print.

Most strainers are circular by default.
But that shape wastes space on the bench, in the drawer, and in the sink.

We wanted to test whether a square form could work better.
Something that fits tighter into a sink corner, stacks flatter, and uses space more efficiently.

We explored the idea through sketching, refined it in CAD, then 3D printed the concept to see how the geometry actually felt in hand.

Most product development budgets aren’t too small. They’re spent in the wrong order.
Money goes into execution before the thinking is done. Production before the design is ready. Manufacture before the prototype has been tested.
A design budget should be covering decisions in the concept phase, DFM built in from the start, prototyping that surfaces problems early, and someone who owns the handoff to manufacture.
If any of those are missing from scope, that’s where the budget risk is sitting.
