Featured in @promptmagazine.ai Book #17.

@valeria.del.vacchio interviewed me on the occasion of Passengers — the group exhibition presented by @parallellondon and @lbcuratorial at @dsq_london , London — October 2025.

The article is called “Recontextualising the Body” and it traces the entire journey of Neural Metamorphosis.
We talk about the ocean as an original space of transformation.

About the female body not as a fixed identity but as a platform for continuous metamorphosis. About Oceanic Evolutions, Pachyderm Pottery, Chrysalis Balaclava — and how each project carries a different state of the body: protected, dense, adaptive.

And about AI. Not as a technical shortcut. But as a radical language that only works when guided by intention, aesthetics and political vision.

“AI makes the quality of thought visible, more than the technology itself.”

Open Call: Parallel LDN introduces ARCADE, a new landscape in art fairs, taking place 7 - 11 October 2026, in the iconic Devonshire Square Estate in the City of London.

Arcade Art fair is an artist/curator led project born in response to a world in flux—a moment that calls for recalibration, not repetition. As the world shifts, so too must the systems that shape it. Arcade reimagines the art fair as a celebratory arts platform centred on agency and access, where artists, curators, collectors, and communities come together through a shared vision. Through this open, democratising model we create a space for more current conversations, unheard voices, and culturally significant art that exists beyond purely commercial forces.

Together with artists, Arcade will donate 20% of all sales proceeds to non-profits and charities that foreground social and environmental impact, chosen by the artists, part of our commitment to support both artists and the causes that resonate with their work.

Artists and curators will work collaboratively to create an intimate dialogue between artwork and place responding to Devonshire Square’s 18th century yet contemporary outdoor landscapes. Site-specific and site-responsive submissions are welcomed.

Deadline 31st of May
Apply via the link in bio or email us.

Mau Samayoa
‘presentación’
22 x 33 x 1cm
Sculpted paper, drawings on paper, photographs and other materials.
2024.

‘presentación’ was shown in PASSENGERS, Oct - Dec 2025, curated by @parallellondon with @lbcuratorial in DSQube, part of @dsq_london .

Samayoa‘s work explores the intricate relationship between memory and information, focusing on how personal experiences can be processed and transcribed into visual forms.
His ‘Memory Bundles’ series collate layers of accumulated documents that the artist has travelled with since migrating from El Salvador to Argentina, and then to the UK. The end result is a non-linear story of different events, ideas and places, not only the artist’s but appropriated from other sources.
The majority of the documents are extremely personal, but not all - the artist combining other people’s memories with his own, using magazines, newspapers, and random objects. Through these visual transformations, his practice gestures toward a liminal space where form and recollection collide, reverberating with the rhythms of time and migration.

He has exhibited extensively across the U.K and internationally including Miami, New York and Buenos Aires, amongst others. His work was recently acquired by the Cleaveland Clinic Art Collection, NYC. He has completed residencies at both Flat8 Gallery, Birmingham, United Kingdom, 2018-2019 and Piramidón Centre D’Art Contemporani, Barcelona, May-June 2022.

Final few days of ‘I still dream of lost vocabularies’ @autographabp . Don’t miss out on seeing this powerful group exhibition examining political dissent and erasure through collage, from cut paper to generate AI. Where collage becomes a porous bridge between histories visible and invisible. On until 21st of March, Free entry

Curated by @bindi_vora

The exhibition resists completeness, questioning whether constructed images can stand in for disputed-and often entailed-narratives when words fail.

.

Featuring Sabrina Tirvengadum @another_hellosabsab who we had the privilege of exhibiting last year in our exhibition ‘Passengers’

Sabrina Tirvengadum’s work uses AI and family archive photographs to reconstruct a fractured family History shaped by the legacy of indentured labour in Mauritius.

Tobias Ross-Southall
Nuevos Animales (Lago)
Indian Ink on raw canvas
100 x 70 cm
2025

This work is featured in PASSENGERS, exhibition Finissage TONIGHT 11th December, 6 - 8PM at DSQube, 10 Devonshire Square, Unit 4 Western Courtyard, EC2M 4YP.

Last day of the exhibition is tomorrow, Friday 12th December, 11 - 7PM.

Tobias Ross-Southall’s ink on raw canvas paintings
flow and merge into fragile, ghostly forms, exploring the transient nature of existence and the delicate balance between presence and absence. Defiantly restrained, his works quietly ask us to slow down and accept stillness, transporting us to dreamlike dimensions.

Situated in concepts of memory and information
and concerned with codifying experiences and feelings, Mau Samayoa’s ‘Memory Bundles’ explore these themes by the layering of the many documents Samayoa has accumulated and travelled with since migrating from El Salvador to Argentina, and then to the UK.

For the final week of PASSENGERS we have added three more atmospheric works from Argentinian artist Gonzalo Maggi.

Please join us in welcoming Maggi who will be attending and to mark the end of PASSENGERS on Thursday 11th December, 6 - 8pm at DSQube, 10 Devonshire Square, Unit 4 Western Courtyard, EC2M 4YP. All Welcome.

Starting from urban landscapes—with a particular interest in brutalist architecture and planned neighbourhoods— shadow, texture and shifting narratives permeate Gonzalo Maggi’s meticulous works. Maggi’s photographs, which appear spontaneous at first glance, are in fact painstakingly constructed stagings that he later reworks in postproduction, placing his images at the threshold between reality and fiction. Leandro Martínez Di Pietri writes that Maggi’s ‘photographic work produces a sense of estrangement through subtlety, a mood of unheimlich, to use the Freudian concept, or of uncanny familiarity’.

Multidisciplinary artist Benjamin Knock exhibits a series of works encompassing film, brass and blown glass, on now in PASSENGERS.

The film unearths a two-month expedition to the active volcano Mt Yasur on Tanna Island, Vanuatu. During this period, Knock conducted extensive fieldwork in collaboration with Tokyo University’s Volcanology Department, focusing on the acoustic and seismic behaviour of volcanic activity through on-site data collection, 3D scanning, and geological sampling. Alongside the scientific collaboration, Knock engaged with the island’s cultural and mythological narratives, conducting an in-depth interview with Mr. Yamah, regarded as the last stone magician of the region. This encounter offered insight into traditional understandings of volcanic power and ancient cultural data transfer systems.

The resulting film merges together empirical research and oral history, bridging the gap of scientific measurement with the deep time analysis of folklore and analog analysis. Through this synthesis, Knock’s work explores the dialogue between data and myth, observation and lived experience.

This accompanying collection of sculptures and
blown glass highlight the volcanic processes that have sculpted our globe throughout history, incorporating many of the raw materials & samples collected from the caldera, such as sulphur oxide volcanic glass infused pigments and basaltic layers.

Bodies shift and transform, mirroring the ocean’s pulse, held and nurtured within their shared liminality and search for a spiritual resonance that binds art and lived experience.

In Ilaria Merola’s work, we encounter a mythic relationship between humans and the oceanic depths that inhabit our psyche—a visual prelude that leans into the surreal. Her artistic journey becomes both a personal path toward individuation and a symbol of the inherent union between femininity and nature. It speaks of a collective process toward ecological healing, a transformation of the self and the world.

‘Oceanic Evolutions’ AI videowork is on view at Passengers till the 12th of December - Part of the
Neural Metamorphosis Series.

Ilaria Merola is a visual artist specialising in generative AI and digital aesthetics. Her practice explores themes of transformation, empowerment, and the evolving relationship between technology and humanity. Through generative AI, she creates bold, visual narratives that challenge conventional ideas of beauty and innovation, positioning the female figure central as a symbol of strength and change at the intersection of art, technology and nature. A reflection on the power of femininity in modern art.

In her own words:
‘AI for me is not just a technical tool, but a radical language when guided by intention, aesthetics and political vision. It allows me to transcend the limitations of the medium and explore hybrid visions, poised between dream, the body, and metamorphosis’.

Merola’s work not only highlights how art & technology can amplify human expression but also serve as a conduit between the past and present, human and artificial and the barriers that divide us, inviting us to question and reconsider the future.
