3 SCHOOL RECORDS, A NEW MEET RECORD, GROUP QUALIFIERS, AND MORE!!!!! SECTIONALS IS IN THE BOOKS! While it may have been CLOSING TIME for many of our athletes, Paramus had a SPECTACULAR TIME AT SECTIONALS! A massive congratulations is in order for our very own sophomore JAMES MYERS who not only shattered his own 400m school record, but also set A NEW MEET RECORD in the event with a time of 47.88 to become section champ! BUT THE FUN DOESNT END THERE FOR JAMES AS HE ALSO PLACED SECOND IN THE 200m, BREAKING HIS OWN SCHOOL RECORD YET AGAIN WITH A TIME OF 21.98!!!! As if that wasn’t enough for James, on Friday night our boys 4x100 (Jordan Nam, Max Finkelman, Michael Fulcher, James Myers) BROKE THE BOYS SCHOOL RECORD AND QUALIFIED FOR GROUPS WITH A 3RD PLACE FINISH! This makes both the BOYS AND GIRLS 4X100 SCHOOL RECORD HOLDERS THIS SEASON!🥳🥳🥳🥳 The track isn’t the only place we found success this weekend, as our Javelin duo Sadie Valentin and Julia Didomenico also qualified for groups, with Sadie placing 6th and Julia ending in 3rd!!!! And of course our very own captain Anthony Debenedetto also qualified in the shot put with a 4th place finish! Let’s not forget about our jumping super star Max Finkelman who also qualified for groups in the long jump!!!!🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 a massive congratulations to our groups qualifiers, and good luck to many of them this week at bmoc as well!! Lastly, an extra special shoutout to the one and only KATELYN TIRO for running her final 4x400 EVER with just ONE SHOE ON! She really is a beast this girl is unstoppable 😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈

Congratulations are in order for the rest of our team who finished their seasons strong at sectionals. Everyone has a lot to be proud of, and we had a great season with tons of PRs, laughs, and hard work. Seniors - congrats on an amazing last lap😉🥹🫶

Thank you all for an amazing season, and stay tuned to see how the rest of championship season plays out 😁😉🥳
