Rio Arriba (Upriver): Images from a breathtaking film + ambitious community project led by my dear friend @felipecastel, available online (Link in bio) // devastating to learn that several of the landscapes in the film have recently been consumed by intentional fires (the 3rd image headline) by @parasite_school

Voto a voto me alboroto... America, just remember: no matter what, shit ain’t right so the fight for justice must go on... Independent from today’s results, there are many (MANY) people in the United States of Amnesia (Aka USA 🇺🇸) whose voices don’t count cuz they are systematically denied the right to participate in civil society.... thinking about my #dacadreamers #jornaleros and may many more out there without political voice or representation. One of our projects @borderlesstv celebrates it’s 3rd year. Congrats everyone!. This is a migrant media collective operating in Cologne initiated by @felipecastel as part of an artist residency at @cat.cologne in 2016. Ever since the group has grown, produced experimental films and developed a model of skill sharing, media literacy and co-creation among migrant and refugee communities in and around Cologne by @parasite_school

Introducing an exciting project: Ñambi Rimai is a newly established Indigenous Media Collective operating in the Pan Amazon region in Colombia, between the high Andes and the lower Amazon. This initiative emerged after a series of workshops and field work conducted by @felipecastel in 2018/2019 while working in close cooperation with the central government of the Inga Nation, @camilopachon and @ambulantecol. The mission of the Media Collective is to support processes of self-governance, preservation of cultural, territorial control and communication all across the territories and beyond. by @parasite_school
