MINAB
.

That day, too, the school smelled of fresh bread, freshly sharpened pencils, and the yellowed pages of exercise books.
A child was laughing, having just received a perfect score.
The playground was alive with the hum of children’s voices at recess.
Yet a bloodied thread had wound itself around the feet of fate, stretching from the past into the distant future.
Time was about to stop.
The walls were about to collapse, and the laughter was about to fall silent.
The bomb exploded—and it was the last sound the students ever heard.
It was a hard lesson.
War kills ordinary people.
War kills the future. War kills laughter.
War kills possibilities.

Yes, children—war kills.

There are things I wish I could scream out loud.
It would have been so easy to live better.
We could have laughed.
We could have had someone to love.
But there were those who stole life from us...
those who were not worthy of even a single breath!

The Circus of War
.
As children, we believed the world was a place meant for play and joy—
a place where we could laugh, run freely,
and return safely home before darkness fell.

No one taught us that everything has a price:
oil, the land, the seas, and borders;
that even peace has its price,
that even fear comes at a cost,
and that our dreams, too, may demand a heavy sacrifice.

The devastation of war is not measured only in the cities it destroys,
but also in all that will never have the chance to be born—
the dreams that never become real,
the lives that never begin,
the laughter that quietly fades
into a cold and endless silence.

The trees turn green again.
The fish no longer fear the sky.
Monsters are nothing more than toys,
and no aircraft casts the shadow of death upon the earth.
Sleep... Sleep.
Pretend you've just heard a bedtime story
about a home that no longer exists,
and a world that has not yet burned..
.
Somewhere between Dreams and Nightmares

Memory of Ashes
.
You witnessed it. So did I. We all did.
We watched a city surrender to fire and become ash.
Of those once vibrant days,
only a memory remains—
colorless, veiled in grey,
heavy with the sorrow of an elegy for a life lost.

Pain for profit,
Blood for oil,
Souls for headlines,
And truth for the theater of illusion.
The city burns still...
not beneath the flames of war,
but beneath the smoldering fire of a ceasefire.
For the bombs know how to end a life,
yet no one teaches the living
how to endure the silence they leave behind
