BREAKING NEWS

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir explained that this situation has arisen because the Indonesian national team’s planned away friendly matches—initially set against Jordan (November 13, 2026) and either Kuwait or the UAE in the Middle East—are now at risk of being cancelled due to the escalating geopolitical and security situation in the region. Prioritizing the safety of the players, the PSSI has begun preparing a "Plan B," or contingency plan.

"I’ve heard that countries like Australia and South Korea, which have similar schedules, are also considering it," said Erick.

This situation opens up the possibility of a change in South Korea's agenda. Nevertheless, there is no certainty yet as to whether the 'Taegeuk Warriors' will be available or willing to face the Indonesian national team during the November FIFA Matchday window. by @pardosigogo

Even though Japan holds the status of the king of Asian football, Indonesia remains unafraid— daring to play an attacking game instead of "parking the bus."
