I started The Burrow Parenting because I believe that your kid is good, and so are you.

I believe that when we understand ourselves better, we can more clearly see the kid in front of us.

I believe that one of the most important relationships we will ever have is the one with our children. It’s the one that has kept me up at night, definitely the one that wakes me up early, and the one that will be on my mind for the rest of my life.

I believe that understanding how brains and nervous systems work is essential to parenting without constantly feeling like you aren’t showing up the way you hoped.

I believe that building a better relationship with my kids will not only serve my life, but theirs too.

I believe in a world where kids are respected as humans. Where generational cycles are repaired where they were fractured, and where we loosen our grip on stories that are no longer ours. Where we see behavior as information and take on the honor and responsibility of seeing our kids for who they really are.

The Burrow Parenting is a place to explore what you believe, understand what may be holding you back, and build a relationship with your child that feels less like something you have to fight for and more like a source of connection and joy.

I offer one-on-one parent coaching, parent workshops and support groups for parents who love their kids deeply but still feel stuck.

I’m glad you’re here.

PS - This picture includes my husband, Tyler, because while he isn't technically involved with The Burrow, he is on this journey with me. Also, starting a business apparently means recruiting the person you live with. Tyler is my unofficial coworker, so he earned a place in the first photo.

Another PS - it's labeled as AI because I had it remove a very distracting crane in the background 😂 by @parentingcanbehard

I didn’t get to finish my thought on this video because my 6 year old apparently took 85 pictures and videos on my phone this morning and I ran out of storage 😂 What have you learned about yourself from watching your parents with your kids? #parenting #breakingcycles by @parentingcanbehard

I read this with a huge smile on my face. Leaving my corporate job to become a parent coach was (and is) scary. I still get side glances from people in my business network that see coaching as something you do when you don't want to work anymore.

But I wish they knew how powerful coaching can be. Having someone help you organize your thoughts, point out things that you are too close to see, and help you untangle the knots is one of the best ways to make meaningful change.

I am SO glad that I am able to bring that to my community. Thanks to this wonderful woman that trusted me with this challenging work. by @parentingcanbehard

I’ll be at The Sand Place on October 13 for a free parenting pop-up! 💛

While your kids dig, build, and play, come chat with me about one parenting moment that’s been hard lately. Maybe it’s the transition that always ends in a meltdown, a boundary that turns into a negotiation, or a moment when you know what you want to do but can’t quite access it.

I’ll be there for informal conversations and practical ideas you can take home. You can also vote on what feels hardest at home, pick up a parenting resource, and enter to win a private 50-minute Parent Clarity Session ($175 value).

No presentation or appointment. Just come play and stop by whenever it works for you.

📅 October 13, 2026
⏰ 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
📍 The Sand Place, 16677 E. Smoky Hill Rd., Aurora

The pop-up is free with regular Sand Place admission. I’d love to see you there! Tag a parent you’d like to meet up with. 😊

Parenting wasn’t meant to happen alone.

Sometimes you don’t need another parenting tip. You need a place to talk honestly about what’s happening at home with people who understand that parenting a big-feeling child can be complicated.

The Burrow Village is a small, coach-guided community where parents can bring the challenges they’re navigating, receive support and perspective, and leave with more clarity about what they want to try next.

Membership includes:

• One 90-minute virtual gathering each month
• Monthly Ask Taryn audio Q&A
• A growing library of practical resources
• A consistent community of parents who get it

Founding memberships begin at $49 per month, with a three-month initial commitment.

If you’ve been wishing you had somewhere to bring the hard parts of parenting, I’d love to have you join us.

Comment here or send me a message if you're interested or if you have any questions. 🤎 by @parentingcanbehard

I’ve been thinking a lot about how differently behavior looks when we’re the ones having the hard moment.

When I slammed that fridge door, I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful. I wasn’t testing anyone. I hadn’t suddenly forgotten that slamming doors isn’t a great idea.

I was overwhelmed.

And if someone had immediately corrected me, lectured me, or threatened to take away something I was looking forward to, I probably wouldn’t have learned much. I would have felt worse.

Our kids aren’t exactly the same as adults, of course. They need our boundaries, guidance and leadership.

But their behavior is still communicating something.

Sometimes the most useful question isn’t:

“How do I get this behavior to stop?”

It’s:

“What is this behavior telling me?”

Understanding what’s underneath doesn’t mean we allow everything. It just gives us better information about what to do next.

And sometimes that shift - from judgment to curiosity - is where connection starts. by @parentingcanbehard

The Burrow Village will be a small, ongoing community for parents who want a place to talk honestly about the hard parts of parenting, learn from one another, and feel a little less alone.

Along with the support of other parents, I’ll provide coaching and guidance to help you get curious about what may be happening in your family and decide what you want to try next.

I’m still working out exactly what this will look like, and I want to build it around what parents actually need.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in, please take the short survey at the link in my bio. There’s no commitment at all. It’s simply a chance to share what would make The Burrow Village useful and realistic for you. by @parentingcanbehard

Our in person workshop yesterday was a success! I'm so grateful to everyone that attended, and for their willingness to share and see behaviors from a new lens.

If you know an organization that would be interested in a free parenting workshop that is a resource they can offer to their families, please let me know! by @parentingcanbehard

The cycle of wanting to show up better, yelling, and then feeling guilty is no joke. I want to help you understand what's behind it so you can let that go, and create just enough space to choose something different.

That gap between knowing what you want to do and what actually comes out in the hard moment is exactly what we’re exploring in my free workshop:

Why Your Parenting Tools Disappear When You Need Them Most

We’ll look at what happens inside you, what might be underneath your child’s behavior, and how understanding more can help you respond with more choice, not just add another strategy on the parenting hamster wheel.
