It’s not.

Your job is to create an environment where they can learn to recruit themselves—while knowing they have your unwavering support.

Guide them.
Encourage them.
Help them prepare.

But let them own the conversations, the relationships, and the process.

Because one day you’ll drop them off at college, and you’ll want them to walk into that new chapter knowing they can advocate for themselves.

Recruiting isn’t just about landing an offer—it’s about everything your athlete learns along the way.

🎢 We made it—the final two stages of the Recruiting Rollercoaster.

Stage 4: The Clarity.
“Where do I actually want to be?”
“Is playing time as a freshman important to me, or am I okay competing for my opportunity and working my way onto the field?”

And then…

Stage 5: THE COMMIT. 💛
“I found my school.”

Their BEST FIT.

🎢 Stage 3 of the Recruiting Rollercoaster: THE COMPARISON TRAP

This one can be HARD.

A teammate commits. Another athlete is getting calls. Your feed is filled with commitment announcements.

And suddenly you’re wondering…

Are we behind?

Remember: every recruiting journey is different. Different positions. Different roster needs. Different academics. Different timing. Different paths.

Someone else’s commitment does NOT mean your athlete missed their opportunity.

There is no trophy for committing first.

The goal is finding the RIGHT fit.

Celebrate the other kids,
then get right back to YOUR journey.

Keep emailing.
Keep training.
Keep showing up.

College coaches are just getting started with their new teams. Practices are underway, but they haven’t reached the busiest part of the season yet—making the next couple of weeks a great opportunity to get your name back in front of them.

Send an updated email with:
⚽ Your newest highlight video or clips from ID camps and trainings.
🏆 Any recent accomplishments or updates.
🍀 A quick note wishing them and their team the best this season.
📅 Let them know if you plan to attend one of their games when they’re in your area.

A thoughtful email now can help keep you on a coach’s radar before the season gets hectic.
