I thought I’d do a little intro for all the new faces here. (And no, it’s not because I think I look good in this pic! 😁) So, I’m Okan, and I’ve been living in Paris since 2017. Before moving here, thanks to my old job, my biggest hobby was hunting down delicious food and great wine. But not the usual touristy spots—I’m all about those local, hidden gems with chef-driven menus that won’t break the bank. It all started with me exploring my own neighborhood on foot, and soon enough, I found myself wandering through different arrondissements. That’s when it hit me: walking gave me a kind of calm and freedom I hadn’t expected. Long story short, I couldn’t stop! I ended up walking through practically all of Paris 😁. Along the way, my phone became my best friend—I’ve taken thousands of photos and fallen deeper in love with this city every day. Now, I’m sharing that love with you through my walking tours, where I explore each arrondissement one by one. You can find the tours in my profile highlights. So far, I’ve got 5 of them covered, but I’m working on doing all 20. That’s the big goal! Stick around, and you’ll see it happen. Yes, it’s me again. Dear followers, am I asking too much of you? Four articles in 46 days!!! No one is more surprised than I am at my own productivity. What is this burst of energy, wow! 😂😂😂 This new piece is about one of the newest bistros in our arrondissement. @auberge_des_crus It’s been part of our lives since 2024. Classic bistro dishes with elegant touches — a true explosion of flavor on the plate. And the wine list? Possibly one of the best in Paris. Yes, I know, it’s a bit far from the center. But in this cold weather, who wouldn’t want delicious food and good wine in a warm space with a fireplace? 😉 And the photos — once again, @amberti_photography was with me. She blends into the crowd so effortlessly while shooting… Before anyone even notices, she’s done with her work and we’re already enjoying our wine in peace.
