There is no greater privilege than being entrusted to serve.

This week marked my first official engagements as Chairman of the Grand Bahama Power Company Board. I was honored to meet alongside Hon. JoBeth Coleby-Davis, my fellow Board members and the Grand Bahama Power Company leadership team as we discussed the work ahead.

What stood out most wasn’t just the conversations, it was the shared desire to do what’s right for Grand Bahama. That gives me hope.

I don’t take this opportunity lightly. I am thankful for the trust that has been placed in me, and I remain committed to listening, learning and working with others as we help build a stronger future for our island. taken in Freeport, Bahamas by @parkcodeal

STATEMENT FROM PARKCO DEAL

I am deeply honored and humbled by my appointment as Chairman of the newly formed Grand Bahama Power Company Board.

I extend sincere gratitude to the Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Edward Davis KC MP for the confidence he has placed in me through this appointment. I am equally grateful to the Minister responsible for Energy, Transport and Aviation, the Hon. JoBeth Coleby-Davis and Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Ginger Moxey, for their leadership and commitment to advancing the energy sector and the future of Grand Bahama.

Reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy is essential to the growth and prosperity of our island. As Chairman, I recognize the importance of this responsibility and the impact our work will have on residents, businesses, and future generations.

The establishment of this Board represents an important step toward strengthening energy governance, improving service delivery, and supporting the long-term development of Grand Bahama. I look forward to working alongside my fellow Board members, Grand Bahama Power Company management, stakeholders, and the people of Grand Bahama to help advance these objectives.

Grand Bahama stands at a pivotal moment in its development. Together, we must embrace innovation, accountability, and strategic planning to ensure that our energy infrastructure is positioned to meet the demands of a modern and growing economy.

I accept this appointment with a deep sense of duty and a commitment to serve with integrity, transparency, and diligence.

STATEMENT FROM PARKCO DEAL

“It is with a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to Karen Ferguson, Max Quant, the Ferguson and Quant families, and especially to his children, Ta’Shae, Mykai, and Jai’lynn, following the tragic loss of their beloved son, father, brother, family member, and friend.

Like so many throughout Central Grand Bahama, I am deeply saddened by this heartbreaking act of violence. Having known this family and the love they share, I can only imagine the profound pain and grief they are experiencing at this time.

As a community, we mourn alongside them. We pray for God’s comfort, strength, and peace to surround the entire family in the difficult days ahead.

Today, we stand in solidarity with the Ferguson and Quant families, sharing in their sorrow and lifting them up in prayer. May they find comfort in the love and support of family, friends, and the wider Grand Bahama community.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Today marked the opening of a new chapter for our country as Parliament officially convened. Congratulations to all Ministers, Senators, Members of Parliament, and government officials sworn in as they begin the important work ahead on behalf of the Bahamian people.

Thank you, Central Grand Bahama. 💙💛

To every person who believed, supported, volunteered, prayed, encouraged, and stood with us throughout this journey — thank you, Central Grand Bahama.

While last night was not the outcome we hoped for, I remain proud of the movement we built together and the conversations we started. This campaign was always bigger than one moment. It was about service, community, and believing in the future of Central Grand Bahama.

The work does not stop here. Thank you for the love, the support, and the fight. Forward together, always.
