A year and 5 hours ago, the world lost a shining light in the form of my incredible friend Mitchell Sterling. Though some time has passed, those who knew him still feel the void of his loss every day. He was an exceptional tennis player, track athlete, student, and, for me, one of my best and closest brothers. It’s difficult to describe what it’s like without him here, but the world at times now seems a bit darker. Yet, we also have to look back on how lucky we were to have him in our lives when we did. We truly were blessed to have experienced his amazing 16 years and all the good he did.

He was a beautiful soul who never failed to make his friends feel included. He was a kind listener who could relate to people’s problems. He was a down to earth and mellow guy (most of the time 🤫). And, the trait most people think of when they think MITCH STERLING- he was so unapologetically hilarious. Mitch truly was a people person, and he had an innate ability to connect. On the court, in a group of friends, or just getting DQ, he made each and every person feel important.

For these reasons, and so many more, Mitch was an amazing person. And I want him to get the recognition he deserves. Here’s a little Mitchell appreciation post. We love you buddy. We miss you. Rest in peace, Mitch ❤️ by @parker_fray
