A little back story about my uncle. He hates having his picture taken, often he prefers not to be in photos. In fact, the few pictures I have of him, he’s not even looking at the camera.

But when @parkermlee_ came along, things changed! I witnessed a side of my uncle resurface, one that I had some amazing memories of. To say my son has breathed new life into this family is quite the understatement.

Every morning, Parker and his great uncle have this tradition now, one which the two of them look forward to daily. At 7:30am on the dot, my uncle while holding Parker will feed the birds and they’ll share this moment together, just the two of them. It warms my heart to see them connect in such a way.

My uncle now beams with pride to have his picture taken with Parker. And excitedly shows off the photos to his friends, bragging about his adventures with Parker.

I think they connect well because they have the same haircut 😂 by @parkermlee_
