Minecraft x Home Chef So proud to finally share what we’ve been cooking up all year. Our friends at Home Chef brought us back to produce a national campaign for their partnership with Minecraft. Pulling inspiration from the game, we rigged a POV helmet cam to simulate the immersive first-person RPG experience. Add in a probe lens, fun VFX, and constant golden-hour sun and you have yourself a good time! Across 6 days, 2 locations, and 30+ talented people, we produced video and photo content for television and cellular screens galore. A few observations from directing this campaign for Payday: @ryanhoward_006 and I share a hometown and an alma mater. Our baseball careers diverged somewhat. “Jet fuel” is both a substance and an accurate description of @yourboyswish And telling Anthony Rizzo you’re a huge Cardinals fan is apparently an invitation. “How’s that going for you?” Not great, thanks. Each of these guys picked someone who helped them along their way. Someone behind the scenes whose care, effort, and everyday presence made a difference. We got to help give those people their moment in the spotlight. Payday calls them “Low. Key. Legends.” Here’s a supercut of what we made. One of my favorites that hadn’t made it to the grid yet – Home Chef x Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie. Always a treat getting to tag along on Home Chef’s fun partnership campaigns, this time with @dreamworks and @gabbysdollhouse. This one opened the door for vibrant colors, magical VFX, and lots of playtime with dolls (my specialty). @sdelahoyde brought his fancy new Cinebot robot out, which was a lifesaver given the precise camera move needed and limited time with Talent.
