My favorite frames from 2025
(In no particular order)

2025 was a big year for me photography wise. I started off the year by retiring my Zorki-4 due to light leaks in the shutter, and replaced it with my prized possession: my Leica M6. In my opinion, this is the single greatest 35mm camera ever made and I have zero buyer’s remorse from it. This camera has changed my work flow for the year, and I have gotten to a point where I almost exclusively shoot film now. Because of this, I was actually able to fulfill one of my new year’s resolutions for the year: cut out film labs entirely. I had developed black & white film in a professional lab in college, but doing it at home in my bathroom was a different beast, yet alone teaching myself to do color. But self-developing everything has been extremely rewarding to me (and honestly the cost savings are probably the only reason I can shoot so much film)

This year was also my first dive into shooting expired film, something I have a ton of fun doing and will definitely continue to shoot more of next year!

Style-wise I still think im searching for what I want my look to be. I found myself going out and shooting with intent more, trying to shoot a particular theme or idea and thats definitely something I want to continue to explore

Wrapping this up, I want to say thank you to all the people who interact with me on here, I always appreciate the kind words and sharing. I’m not a big numbers guy, but I always like engaging with other photographers whose work I admire, and chatting about the game

A few 2024 favorites. I made this account in March mostly as a way to keep all the photos I’ve taken from collecting digital dust on my hard drives. Its definitely been a motivating factor to go out and shoot more! Looking forward to a year of new projects!

Hollywood, 1939 // Lens, 1936

I picked up this vintage Leica Summar 5cm f2 lens as my first Leica lens. After doing some more research, I found out this lens is 90 years old - manufactured in 1936! So, I figured what better way to test the lens out than to take it where it would feel at home - a hotel perpetually trapped in 1939!

Coronado Springs Architecture Through a Vintage Soviet Lens

Coronado Springs is by far one of my favorite resorts to walk around. The architecture of the buildings is so diverse with each section! Coronado has become one of my go-to test spots for new gear and this was a combination of 2 new tests for me. Here are a few shots testing the FED 50mm f3.5 collapsible lens, as well as shooting Fomapan 400 for the first time. I’ll probably end up doing something like this again in the future (but probably with sharper film…)
