POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Hi, I’m Adena.

If you’re new here, welcome.

I’m a therapist, founder of Park West Wellness, and someone who has always been drawn to people’s stories.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children, families, and adults navigating some of life’s most challenging moments. Today, I help people build self-trust, strengthen relationships, navigate anxiety, and move through life’s transitions with greater confidence and compassion.

This little corner of the internet is where I’ll be sharing reflections on mental health, relationships, personal growth, and everything in between.

I’m glad you’re here. 🤍 by @parkwestwellness

Therapy is more than techniques, theories, and interventions.

It’s trust, connection, authenticity, and showing up as a real human.

A few things I do as a therapist that aren’t in the textbook. 🤍 by @parkwestwellness

“What if…” Sound familiar?

Anxiety can convince us that every thought needs an answer. But just because a thought enters your mind doesn’t mean it’s true, reflects how you really feel, or deserves your attention.

You don’t have to analyze it, challenge it, or figure it out.

Let it be. Let it pass.

This is something we help clients practice in therapy - learning to tolerate uncertainty without getting caught in every anxious thought. by @parkwestwellness

You may not have control over every circumstance, every person, or every chapter of your life.

But you can have a say in how you move forward.

You can change your mind, redefine success, set boundaries, and make choices that feel more aligned with who you’re becoming.

You are allowed to rewrite the parts of your story that no longer feel like yours. This is something we help clients work toward in therapy - building self-trust, recognizing their own agency, and feeling more confident in the choices they make. by @parkwestwellness

Living with chronic illness is about more than managing physical symptoms.

It’s the unpredictable days, canceled plans, guilt, exhaustion, and emotional weight of feeling misunderstood when others can’t see what you’re experiencing.

You don’t have to prove how much you’re struggling for your experience to deserve compassion. And not everyone has to fully understand what you’re going through for you to honor what you need.

At Park West Wellness, we believe the emotional side of chronic illness deserves just as much care and attention. by @parkwestwellness

Being authentic doesn’t mean showing up the same way in every relationship.

Different people naturally bring out different sides of us. We may feel more playful with some, more vulnerable with others, and more reserved in certain environments.

Trust and vulnerability develop over time. We don’t have to be equally open with everyone, and closeness grows through mutual trust, safety, and reciprocity.

You can be fully yourself without sharing every part of yourself with everyone. by @parkwestwellness

A simple swap can change the way we make space for our own emotions.

So many of our clients are working on letting go of the fear that their feelings, needs, or hard days are a burden to the people they love. You’re allowed to take up space. You’re allowed to have an off day. And you don’t always need to apologize for how you feel.

Sometimes, the first step is simply letting “I’m sorry” become “thank you.”

Grief doesn’t always look like sadness. Sometimes it shows up quietly - in your energy, your patience, your ability to focus, or how connected you feel to the life around you.

There’s no right way to grieve and no timeline for finding your way through it. Give yourself permission to meet yourself where you are, even when grief looks different than you expected. by @parkwestwellness

Growth isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it means letting go of what once felt safe and making space for something new.

You don’t have to navigate it alone.

Anxiety loves reassurance because it gives us what we’re craving in the moment: certainty.

The problem? The relief is temporary, and soon we’re looking for reassurance again.

Breaking the cycle means building self-trust and reminding yourself: I have the tools to get through this. I’ve done it before.

This is something we help many of our clients work through in therapy - learning to tolerate uncertainty, build self-trust, and feel more confident in their ability to handle whatever comes next. by @parkwestwellness

Normalize taking care of your mental health.

Therapy isn’t just for when you’re in crisis. It’s a space to better understand yourself, build healthier patterns, and learn the tools to navigate life’s challenges.

Maybe it’s kinda chic after all. by @parkwestwellness
