056//DL → MH.I had the most amazing time over these last couple of years working at Animal. I still remember when I first came across them during my second year of uni, G-34 class... where I was standing at my desk. My mate showed me their catalogue of work and I knew from that very moment... I'd love to work here... And that I did. My first job—and I loved every single bit of it...And then there were the people I met here—talented in their own right and so much fun. A proper case of "you come for the name but you stay for the people."So cheers to everyone of my mates that I made here. Genuinely gonna miss you lot. Though until next time... Maybe at Auro... 054//E.T→2327.Earlier this month I had the absolute pleasure of teaching an elective on ‘Experimental Typography’ at Unitedworld Institute of Design.And as cliched it may sound, to say it was like living a fever dream is no exaggeration. Believe me. It means a little bit more doing it here. If you know what I mean :)I want to thank the H.O.D and my mentor @rozaaanaa and @evilareve for inviting me, trusting me with this incredible opportunity, and believing in me that I could take on this responsibility.To make sure I fulfilled this responsibility, I’m thankful to everyone who helped me in designing the curriculum. Special thanks to @shiva_n_ @kalapi.gajjar @matratype and @we_oink for your invaluable help, words of encouragement and insights.I also believe that something like this is never a solo effort. A huge thank you to my first design mentors— @sudip.dutta.078 , Mukesh Sir, and @yuti.d —who truly helped shape who I am today.Throuhgout these past days I realised how I am who I am because of the people I had around me all these years and their influence. 052//Kidshot - Mainland.Artist: @kidshothiphop Director: @yuvrajaago Associate Director: @architgite Presented by: @molfamusic Produced by: @jugaadmotionpictures Producers: Dar Gai, Dheer Momaya, Pranit Sahni.Had the most amazing time working on the title type for Kidshot's latest single, "Mainland." When Yuvraj and Archit first approached me with this brief, they came in with this vision they had for the visuals of this track, and they were open for me to explore and just run wild with it. The Gotham approach, as I labeled it in the presentation shown to them, aimed to build something that fit the style and tone we were going for. A vibe that encapsulates a sinister city, where even the dark alleys have their own blinding light, a kingpin sitting at his dinner table handling business, the Godfather. This approach focused on the use of tall, elegant transitional or hairline serifs, with its visual treatment being dark, sharp, and bright.Also, a big shoutout to Kidshot and @bassholemusic on this track, the energy, the production, the bars on this track were insane!
