A wedding culture set in 70’s era of old Panjab where bride use to perform maiyo for month & so many rituals such as mayra, vatna, mehndi, ghadoli, jaggo, sehrabandi, ghodi, lavan phere were integral part of purana panjab viah. This video reflects the emotional journey & cultural relevance of that golden period.

The ornaments pipal patti, kenthe, saggi phul, laakh chudiyan, chura, heritage kaleere, tikka & nath are driven from the era itself along with costumes (viah da joda) sucha gotta patti along with tilla work mostly on silk were designed for the ocassions of bridal rituals and juttis were specially curated. ‘Baag’ or ‘phulkari’ were made specially for the day of wedding got ready by the intimate family members.

This song ‘sehreyan wala’ depicts bride’s journey of her knot with groom’s family & her sentiments with her parental home. Its a beautiful memory that she lives in these days till her Bidayi.

I am so thankful for making it possible yet another ‘dream song’ of mine. The most awaited & excited song ‘Sehreyan wala’ is going to be released soon. Its just like i am putting a piece of heart out to all of u. Here i would like to exchange my thought about the glimpse of traditional weddings of old punjab back in the 70’s era. Its a beautiful rewind to those traditional ways of wedding rituals & journey of a bride till her wedding day.

Hope the effort will be appreciated & loved.
