I help you uncover who you are beneath who you were told to be 💕 Coach, Speaker, Author of Uncovering ME (April 2027)

POSTS STORIES REELS

One day you’ll look back and what felt like a huge mountain to climb will be nothing but a memory in the background.

You’ll wonder why you allowed it to take up so much of your emotional energy. You’ll wonder what it is about it that felt so scary and insurmountable at the time. You’ll wonder what would’ve happened if you spent less time worrying and trying to control your outcome and more time actually living your life. You’ll laugh at and with the version of you who felt unfit to climb the mountain and feel so silly for the grip your fears had on you.

And then out in front you, you’ll notice a new mountain. A mountain you haven’t seen or experienced before. And the question becomes, which part of you will climb that mountain?

The version of you who trusts that it will all workout, who knows the mountain will eventually become a memory, and who chooses to let the mountain exist, without becoming your whole life?

Or the version of you who lets the mountain become so big that you forget there is a life to live and people to love along the way? by @pascale__atallah

Been a little MIA on posting, while my attention shifted towards the Lebanese Festival.

This time last week, we were frantically getting ready to open the doors of Midtown park in Houston to more than 10,000 people from attendees, to performers, to vendors, and most importantly volunteers.

Back in April this was nothing but a dream that we weren’t sure would materialize the way it did, but we still aimed for the moon, put our head downs and started grinding. A team of more than 50 volunteers put their hearts out for months working early mornings, late nights and every weekend to make this a reality.

As the co-chair of the festival, I got a front row seat to their hard work and what it took to bring this vision together. Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing what I learned and how I approached this experience personally.

But for now: THANK YOU!!! To every single person that had a hand into making this dream a reality and bringing Lebanon to the heart of Houston. #houstonlebfest by @pascale__atallah

That’s why it’s so important to be specific about what it is you’re manifesting. The universe hears you, make sure you’re putting the right order by @pascale__atallah

I had a great time last week attending Time To Lead in Houston and getting to hear the stories of impact of so many incredible women.

The focus of the conference was “Becoming Her,” something I immediately connected with. Too often, we chase after a goal without intentionally recognizing what it will take to achieve that goal and, more importantly, who we need to become in the process of pursuing it.

For me, that is at the heart of self-leadership: taking ownership, putting yourself in the driver’s seat of your life, and intentionally designing your own definition of success rather than simply following the one that has been handed to you.

The positive energy in the room was hard to miss and a true reflection of who Angie, Jamie and Massiel are at their core and the space they created for so many women to connect, learn, and be inspired.

Thank you for the opportunity to contribute to your impact by raffling a coaching package to one of your attendees. I can’t wait to walk alongside her as she navigates her own process of becoming the next version of “Her.” by @pascale__atallah

Back in 2017, I was watching a documentary called The Shift by Wayne Dyer. And while the entire thing is so worth watching, there is a part of it that stuck with me.

In the documentary, he talks about research showing that people’s values shift over time. Particularly, people can move from being focused on things that are extrinsic: success, recognition, money, status, what other people think… to things that are more intrinsic: meaning, growth, connection, authenticity…

Hearing him talk about this provided words to the chaos I experienced as a child.

I remember growing up hearing adults speak negatively about a “midlife crisis.” They associated words like “losing their minds,” “going crazy,” “throwing their life away” with people experiencing this shift. And it might actually feel this way if you’re going through this yourself.

But what if instead, a midlife crisis was no more than a beautiful shift in values?

Or maybe a reconnection with what you’ve always known but just forgot?

The challenge in this season is that no one has taught us how to find what we really value. And honestly, sitting in the space where you no longer feel like you belong to what you fought so long for, while not knowing what you care about, can feel unbearable.

And yet, this might be the most beautiful place to be. It’s an invitation to pause and get to uncover yourself.

So before you take a leap, before you uproot your life, pause. And go within.

Discover what it is that matters to you most. Then decide from this place, what shift you want to make or if you even need one.

And if you don’t know where to start, I made a free guide for you.

The things that used to light you up as a child are clues into what you value.

The goal is not to become someone new, but to uncover the version of you that you’ve disconnected from and masked. by @pascale__atallah

I thought my manager was judging me. He was actually judging himself.

A few years ago, I got to be interviewed with my manager for a local news station in Oklahoma. I was, of course, nervous and, like most people, very self-conscious.

After the interview was over, I started replaying it in my head and dissecting every moment. My inner critic was running the show.

I also noticed that my manager’s energy had shifted. He was more to himself and distant, not his usual chatty and funny self.

So my inner critic got even louder.

It created an entire story about how he was probably pissed about something I had said, or maybe I just hadn’t done well enough.

Instead of sitting with the story I had created in my head, I actually asked him. Or, truthfully, I apologized for not doing as well as I thought I should have.

He looked at me, confused, and said, “Oh, I don’t even know what you said. I was too busy questioning how I did.”

My boss was 55+, pretty high up in the organization, had patents in his name, and was a white man (honorable mention because the world tends to portray white men as people who never experience doubt or fear).

And he was doubting himself and criticizing how he did?

That moment created what I now understand as a cognitive shift for me.

First, it made me realize that I was normal. I wasn’t uniquely insecure or somehow failing at confidence.

But it also made me wonder: if someone with his age, experience, success and title could still experience doubt and self-criticism, then maybe the goal isn’t to get rid of that part of ourselves.

But rather to learn how to lead it, soothe it and question the stories it creates. And to allow it to coexist with all the other parts of ourselves without letting it run the show.

That moment created a huge level of freedom for me. I stopped striving to get rid of that inner voice, and instead learned to engage with and manage it. By the way, her name is Irma 😉

A few days ago Dr Antoine from @meetyourselfdna challenged us to reflect on our childhood and who we wanted to be when we were kids. A challenge I’ll happily participate in.

As a kid, I would often get caught playing pretend as a chemistry teacher, running experiments, or doing some sort of physical activity. Yes, yes, I already knew chemistry at age 5, thanks to listening in to my sister’s chemistry lessons during the war.

Fast forward to today, I’m the most lit up when I’m teaching something, experimenting with concepts and ideas, or doing some sort of physical activities.

But for a really long time I was disconnected from these elements and my day was run like a checklist. It wasn’t until I took the time to pause, that I could reconnect to those traits that made me light up as a kid, and continue to light me up today as an adult.

My childhood wasn’t telling what I was supposed to become, but it was showing me what I valued: contribution, discovery, growth…

Today, I see a lot of people around me asking themselves what now. You’ve done the thing, played the game, checked the boxes and with that, little by little you’ve extinguished that light that runs through you.

Before you make a change or take another step, pause and reconnect to that child that still lives within you. She/He may have more clues about what you value than you realize.

Need help with finding your values? I made something for you. Link in bio by @pascale__atallah

Words I no longer use: “I’m so proud of you”.

I think it’s safe to say that we all grew up with parents, teachers and elders telling us “I’m so proud of you”.

And while this phrase is well intentioned, it can also subconsciously create a dependence on external validation and approval.

This can then erode self-trust and our ability to know what matters to us. As we grow up, we start needing that external validation to affirm our choices, and even our path.

We outsource approving of ourselves to someone else and allow that external approval to dictate our sense of self-worth and direction in life.

And the irony is that the more we look outside of ourselves to know whether we’re doing well, the harder it becomes to trust ourselves to know what is right for us.

That’s why today, instead of saying “I’m so proud of you”, I ask “Does that make you proud?” Or “How does that make you feel?” Followed by “I’m so happy or excited for you”.

This allows me to not project my values onto other people’s actions and instead support them in building a strong sense of self. by @pascale__atallah

If you’re going through a life transition, and you’re feeling disconnected from your needs and values, I want you to know that it’s absolutely normal.

I have been there myself, and felt lost trying to figure out how to uncover my values.

After years of research, reading and piecing things together, I’ve developed a workbook and video guide to help you find yours.

And the best part, it’s free! Link in bio by @pascale__atallah

A reminder that we’re human BE-ing not human Do-ing. And that sometimes the most productive thing we can do, is absolutely nothing at all. by @pascale__atallah

Sometimes building self trust looks like posting a selfie and throwing an a random text over because you’re spent for the day.

This is your reminder that you build your self worth and self concept by keeping promises to yourself. So even if it’s imperfect, do it anyways. by @pascale__atallah
