Happy Birthday to the world’s best husband, dad and son-in-law. This has been the absolute hardest year of our lives and everyday you wake up swinging. The love you have for your family is so tremendous and we feel it constantly. Your strength of hand and heart keep this family functioning and your humor keeps us laughing. I’m so proud of you and happy to have you here. There have been moments this year I’ve been forced to imagine life without you and I never want to feel that again. You are my rock, my home plate, my comfort, my protector, it is because of you that I have been able to carry on each day. I love you so much babe. The boys love you. My mom loved you. The world loves you, Steve-O. Happy Birthday Babe ♥️ by @pashleywalden
Our mom @pattyrn1960 has shared her life, joys and journey with all of you, so we found it fitting we update you on her behalf. We would like to share that at this time, Patty’s cancer has returned and has progressed much more rapidly than any of us could have ever imagined. Her breast cancer came back and spread quickly. For two weeks now she has been bravely fighting this battle alongside her wonderful oncology team at Community South. Tomorrow, we expect our mom, Patty, to come home to the farm where she will be cared for and made comfortable for as long as we can love her. She’s a wonderful Nana, daughter, sister, friend and mom…surrounded by many who love her. If you’d like us to share a message or comment, we will be honored to read them to her. Thank you all for being our mom’s friends, she really loves you all. Ashley & Sarah by @pashleywalden

Said goodbye to some family history. by @pashleywalden
Thank you everyone for checking in on us. Yesterday did not go as planned, unfortunately. Steve went in for his ablation and the EP Dr while in the procedure could not stimulate his heart into a VTach rhythm to find the “short circuit.” He ablated the same area again (without seeing any abnormal rhythms) which he suspected was the culprit, the right bundle branch. Post-op, when meeting with the EP, Dr. Keating, I was told this was great it seemed the ablations were working well and VTach wasn’t happening in Steve’s lower chambers anymore. They even loaded him up with adrenaline trying to get his heart to “go crazy” after the procedure and it wouldn’t, that’s a great sign. After a few hours of rest and us preparing to go home, alarms began sounding. Steve went into VTach twice. Once being an extended period of which we were afraid his internal defibrillator would go off and begin shocking him. Fortunately, it did not. The two of us, with some very skilled nurses (who after 3 visits know us and listen to our concerns and theories) immediately began trying to figure out what was happening. Alarms were blaring, Steve’s blood pressure dropped 30 points and his heart rate went up briefly…mean while Steve is sitting up saying “I feel fine, I don’t feel different” Was he actually having another occurrence or was there some monitor issues? No one knew. The nurses called the on call doc and after much discussion decided to still discharge Steve around 9pm. “Treat the patient, not the monitor.” Yeah well those monitor alarms are terrifying. To be transparent, we are heart broken, full of questions and scared, living in a fog of confusion and despair…but we are home. Please pray for my husbands healing, we just really want this awful part of our lives to be solved. by @pashleywalden
This never gets easier. It’s a feeling that echoes with longing and fear. I want him well and I need reassurance he’s fine. The hours spent waiting for the results are antagonizing. It’s not until you get pulled into the post-op you know what happens. The time you spend alone in fear while the nurses and staff discuss lunch options and weekend plans outside the room is purely torture. They are just living their lives and doing their jobs so wonderfully while I ache on the other side of a curtain. I could walk to the cafeteria or go outside, but what if something happens? What if they come looking for me? What if he gets out early and I’m not waiting right here for him? What if it’s not him who comes back in? What do I do then? My biggest fears are so valid but instead, I just say spiders. by @pashleywalden
*You’d never know half of the hot chocolates ended up on the floor. This weekend was Frozen with the boys and we loved it! All the food was 10/10 and everyone was full of frozen goodness by the end. #mommakesthemagic #disneymom #disneydatenight by @pashleywalden

We ran outside to wave at a single powered paraglider and it soon turned into half a dozen putting on a show. An absolutely incredible way to enjoy the sky tonight 🩵 by @pashleywalden
