It was a stunning, breathtaking book about one of the darkest times in history.
It was heartbreaking, hopeful, and lovely.
🧡🧡🧡
"Two women, bound by blood and betrayal, must break silence across centuries—or be silenced forever."
🧡🧡🧡
Rich, powerful, and dramatic.
There are two timelines in the book, past and present. The past marks a time when women had no control over their own lives, a time when there was so much violence toward women.
🧡🧡🧡
"Most were old, vulnerable. Nearly all were women."
🧡🧡🧡
Honestly, just writing this makes me want to cry at the injustice.
I love, love this book and definitely, highly recommend it.
Thank you very much @instabooktours and @madelinemmartin for gifting this book to me. Forever grateful 🙏 by @pasiklydevertime

Seventeen years ago, Kyra Masters fled the Hollow Garden and never looked back.
Following her aunt's death, Kyra unexpectedly inherits the Hollow Garden. A sprawling Victorian graveyard of crumbling mausoleums, ruined monuments, and paths tangled with the rare Night Ivy that has grown there for generations.
The estate was never meant to be hers.
And the Hollow Garden has a will of its own.
Nostalgia is for those who sleep well.
🖤🖤🖤
A brilliant book about madness, betrayal, yearning to belong, lost family, grief, magic, and so much more. For me it was a perfect autumnal read.
The story was beautifully written and well plotted. I loved how so many twisted things happened throughout and even when some parts didn't seem to make sense at first, everything came together so nicely by the end.
Along with well developed characters, this book had an unforgettable atmosphere. It was dark, gloomy, and claustrophobic, almost suffocating . It felt as though the house and the graveyard were characters in their own right, which gave the story an even darker feel.
I loved it and highly recommend 🖤

First of all, I have to confess... I haven't finished the book yet.
Life has been a bit hectic these past few months, and I've been struggling to concentrate on reading.
However I'm halfway through and absolutely loving it. I don't want to rush as I want to enjoy every page, because it is a truly captivating story. The atmosphere is dark, cold, and suffocating (I almost wish it were winter right now). It is so beautifully written, not to mention a total emotional rollercoaster.
I'm having such a great time with it. Just what I neede at the moment
Forever grateful @randomthingstours and author @cathryn_kemp for gifting this book

"When you do the right thing for the wrong reason, no one praises you.
When you do the wrong thing for the right reason, everyone does, even though what is right and wrong depends entirely on the story you’re living in. And no one says they need recognition or praise or love, but we all hunger for it.
We all want to be special."
