Hello dear followers and clients and colleagues and spirits of the internet. This week I decided to stop mucking about and to just admit that I am an intuitive. I KNOW that many if not most of you will reply with a “yeah, duh”. But here is the thing, y’all, it is scary to be seen in my abilities and to shine my light like this. I have held off because I really thought many people would pull away if I stepped into this part of myself too forcefully. The world is full of all flavors of spiritual wounding and plenty of us have had quite enough bullshit for one lifetime! It is always a risk to say “hey, I can do something cool” in a world that rewards a braggart and crowns a fool. Still, there is no longer any point in me holding back and hiding behind “card based coaching”. It is time to come clean all over the place and one of the ways I am doing that today is by renaming and relaunching this service as “readings”. We are in a phase of this culture when we MUST call every spade a spade (unless we are a tarot reader, then we call it a sword 😉). SO BOOK A READING! Maybe the spirits will tell us what in your life needs to be hauled out from the back closet and brought into the light of day. 💜 by @passagewayarts

Okay, springtime! I have been in the garden and to Land’s End to visit the Pacific ocean. The report I have to give back to y’all is; SEE THE BEAUTY. It is so important to keep beautiful things and ideas in our lives, especially in the most difficult times. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤My newest offering from Passageway Arts is an ongoing grief group (on Fridays in person) supporting those in acute loss by providing an opportunity to mourn beautifully. We will gather weekly to make art, talk, cry, plan gardens, stretch, ring bells, light candles, hum dirges, write letters, and witness beauty in the midst of grief. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤I am trying to think of a name for it. Today I held a little gathering of women and we discussed, invited, and honored mother spirits. Speaking of the mother as an archetype that is sorely abused and neglected in our society. 🌹We had lactating mothers present, bereaved daughters, tired mamas, women trying to figure out how to be mothers more authentically, artists, protectors, and aliens. So it was easy to call all types of mothering energy in (even the shadows). 💙I was reminded by all the wisdom that the first thing to do is to nourish ourselves so we can nourish others. Fortunately, I had also just returned from my mother ship; San Francisco, where I always let the magic and the ocean fill me up to over flowing! So grateful to get to share this with other witches. 💐Happy Mothers Day to all who celebrate, however they celebrate. by @passagewayarts

Please help me out by liking and sharing this post with those in grief.

After ten years of working with grief as a hospice counselor, I am finally starting some on going grief groups to support those suffering a loss.

- creativity and rituals for grief
- parent loss for those under 40
- in-law loss (or a support group for those supporting someone in grief)

I hope to be filling these groups up and getting them rolling this May and keep them up for years to come.

can’t stay quiet. / So stay warm. / Pulling heat from home base out / into the extremities. / For there are streets to walk and whistles to blow. / In an ice storm,/ when the sun breaks through, / when time stands still for one second, / in winter. / on the frozen frontline of this heart beating / for what we know must be protected; / our humanity lies exposed on the tundra./can’t stay in / must wrap up the roses/ must be ready with a blanket./ Dear, neighbor,/ there is a terrible storm amongst us / and we must stay warm. - g. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️In these cold times I am reminded of the many winter traditions and rituals that my ancestors held; bonfires, altars for Imbolic, communion, caroling, etc. These symbolic acts were all about preserving heat and warmth in the depth of winter.
As always, the strong symbolism of our times will not be lost on me. The only way to drive out the cold ice of racism and abusive power is with the warmth and community of a people united in the resolve to be compassionate. Look at the hymns and songs being brought out in to the streets in Minnesota, the artworks being made, the resources being shared, the neighbors coming forward in each other’s defense.
Y’all… Compassion is our true nature and its light never truly goes out, but we must tend these fires of decency and freedom and respect together.
This week I am doing some winter warmth rituals in my own home and I am lighting candles for communities across my country and my world.
Every spark of warmth matters in these cold days. Together we can be the sunshine that will melt this ice! by @passagewayarts
