❤️So liebe ich das Wandern (Werbung @niederoesterreich | @donauniederoesterreich )

🏞️Eine herrliche Landschaft mit einem Mix aus Fluss, sanften Hügeln, 🍇Weingärten und der ein oder anderen machbaren Steigung.
🧃Dazu hier und da ein Kühlschränken zum selbst zu bedienen mit Getränken aus der Region
🫶das alles ohne Massentourismus
🤤und am Abend richtig fein einkehren

💭Mein persönlicher Traum als Outdoor Fan & Foodie. Wenn ihr das auch so liebt, solltet ihr euch den Welterbesteig in der Wachau merken.

😮Insgesamt hat dieser 180km und 14 Etappen
Die könnt ihr alle als Fernweg laufen (Gepäcktransport ist verfügbar) oder ihr sucht euch - wie ich - einzelne Etappen raus.

Save this for your next Helsinki trip❤️(Ad|Werbung @myhelsinki )

🌉 Kruunuvuorensilta opened to pedestrians and cyclists in April 2026 and, at around 1.2 kilometres, is the longest bridge in Finland.

🚲 No cars are allowed — the bridge is designed for cyclists, pedestrians and trams.

🌊 It’s part of the new Crown Bridges route, creating a completely new connection across the sea and making Helsinki’s islands and eastern neighbourhoods much easier to reach without a car.

🚋 And there’s already an exciting update: tram services will start on approximately in November 2026 — ahead of the original schedule.

💡 My pick: Book a bike tour with @helsinkibiketours to discover Helsinki’s newest landmark — and Riku might even help you with the pronunciation. 😉

Sei eine:r der Ersten, die Helsinkis neueste Sehenswürdigkeit erleben. 🌉🚲

🌉 Die Kruunuvuorensilta wurde im April 2026 für Fußgänger und Radfahrer eröffnet und ist mit rund 1,2 Kilometern die längste Brücke Finnlands.

🚲 Autos dürfen hier nicht fahren – die Brücke ist für Radfahrer, Fußgänger und Straßenbahnen vorgesehen.

🌊 Sie ist Teil der neuen Crown-Bridges-Route, die eine völlig neue Verbindung über das Meer schafft und Helsinkis Inseln und östliche Stadtteile ohne Auto deutlich leichter erreichbar macht.

🚋 Und es gibt bereits ein spannendes Update: Ab dem 7. November 2026 fahren Straßenbahnen über die Brücke – früher als ursprünglich geplant. 🤗

💡 Mein Tipp: Buche eine Fahrradtour mit @helsinkibiketours um Helsinkis neueste Sehenswürdigkeit zu entdecken – und ganz nebenbei kann dir Riku vielleicht auch noch bei der Aussprache helfen. Das ist für uns Deutsche nämlich ein echter Zungenbrecher😉

🤤If dinner is one of the things you plan your city trips around, Helsinki deserves a spot on your list. 🍽️ (Ad @myhelsinki )

✨These are six very different restaurants I would happily book a table at again:
🌿 @elm.puistokatu4 — seasonal cooking in a cosy, stylish setting. I’m still thinking about that broccoli with herb pil-pil and sunflower chilli crunch.
@ariel.ravintola for tasty modern finish kitchen in a community house with great architecture ❤️
🥕 @yesyesyeshelsinki — vibrant, completely vegetarian and perfect for ordering a few plates to share.
🇫🇮 Skörd — a fascinating take on Finnish cuisine, built around ingredients only from Finland. Dinner here feels like a little journey through the country.
🌊 @nokkahelsinki — right by the water, with Finnish nature and ingredients at the heart of the menu.
⭐️⭐️ @restaurantgron — now awarded two Michelin stars and, to this day, the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. If you really want to treat yourself in Helsinki, this is the one.

Blau oder Grün - was sagt ihr? (Werbung)

🫢Ein wenig Aufregung und mindestens doppelt so viel Neugierde war am Start, als ich bei @kastneroehler in Graz in die Trachtenabteilung gegangen bin, um mir mein allererstes Dirndl zuzulegen. 🤗

❓Worauf sollte man achten, was ist gerade im Trend, welche Dirndl werden auch in 30 Jahren noch Mode sein und überhaupt welche Farbe steht mir?

💙Babyblau hätte ich selbst von vornherein ausgeschlossen, doch dank der tollen Beratung von @sono_micaele hab ich es doch probiert und mich selbst kaum wiedererkannt😅

Am Ende konnte ich mich nur sehr schwer entscheiden, es gab einfach zu viele schöne Modelle!

🤫Was meint ihr, was in meiner Tüte gelandet ist? Hellblau oder dunkelgrün?

Für das Aufsteiern Festival bin ich jetzt jedenfalls perfekt ausgestattet🙌

Helsinki is dangerously good at turning “just one coffee” into an entire day of eating. ☕️🥐

✨Here are some of my favourite new discoveries from breakfast to lunch:

🥐 @beardparkcafe — Mediterranean breakfast in Kallio and still wonderfully unhyped.
🥞 @mokomarketcafe — weekday breakfast buffet with smoothies, quiche and more, right inside an interior store.
☕️ @cafelito_helsinki — a cute coffee shop by day that turns into a wine and tapas bar later on.
☕️ @ramsroasters — great cappuccino, a sunny seat outside and one of Helsinki’s prettiest streets just around the corner.
🥪 @cafetampopo — the place for a quick and delicious Japanese egg sando.
🇮🇹 @brera.thekiosk — crispy focaccia, fresh salads, coffee and drinks in one of Helsinki’s lovely little summer kiosks.
🥐 @cafe.flemari20 — my pick for a fresh Finnish korvapuusti straight from the oven.
🍦 @juggebar — frozen yoghurt with changing toppings and specials for a sweet summer break.

I started in Berlin, she started in Erfurt. We both travelled by train to Frankfurt, met there – and continued the journey together to Marburg with our Interrail Passes.

And I actually love this idea for a friendscation: instead of one person travelling all the way to the other, meet somewhere along the way and discover a completely new place together. 👯‍♀️

In our case that place was Marburg – a city in my own country that I had barely heard about before.
And it turned out to be such a good weekend trip:
🏘️ wandering through the half-timbered old town
🌿 taking a break in the Old Botanical Garden
👀 getting one of the best views from the Kaiser Wilhelm Tower
🏰 walking up to the Landgrave’s Castle
🍕 and working our way through some seriously good foodie spots

But one of my favourite parts was actually everything around it.
🚆Catching up on the train. Getting into travel mode together. 🌻Watching sunflower fields, little villages and rivers pass outside the window. And, because this is Germany after all, celebrating every successfully caught Deutsche Bahn connection. 😂☕️

❤️That’s what travelling by train can add to a trip: you don’t just suddenly appear at your destination. You experience the distance in between – and sometimes discover places you probably wouldn’t have chosen otherwise.

🤙So if one of your favourite people lives in a different city: maybe don’t visit each other next time.
Meet somewhere new instead. 🚆✨

Ich weiß, 🥲den Sommer gehen zu lassen, das fällt schwer. Das fühle ich auch. Was es einfacherer macht? Das Wissen, dass der 🍂Herbst eine der schönsten Wanderzeiten überhaupt ist, vor allem im Thüringer Wald!
(unbezahlte Werbung, weil einfach zum Verlieben schön!)

⏰Letztes Jahr war die Laubfärbung Mitte Oktober auf dem Höhepunkt, also haltet euch unbedingt schonmal ein paar Tage im Oktober frei und speichert euch meine liebsten Spots.

I’m very much a Duracell bunny when I travel – always thinking about what’s next. 😄

Looking out of a train window is one of the few things that actually slows me down.
First sunflower fields appear, then there’s a deer standing in the distance, we cross a river…
