You are not alone 💙 I’m so excited to announce that @ocdwa are hosting a local walk here in Canberra!! Join us for the Canberra OCD Walk as part of OCD Awareness Week. Whether you’re living with OCD, supporting someone you love, or simply want to stand with our community, this walk is about connection, hope and raising awareness of what OCD really is. Every step helps challenge stigma and reminds people that recovery is possible. We’ll meet at 9am at the International Flags and then commence the walk around Lake Burley Griffin. We’ll start together and then please feel free to walk as far as you like (you absolutely do not need to walk the whole lake!) Everyone is welcome. Bring your family, friends, workplace team, or come on your own—you’ll be walking alongside people who understand. Register via the link / QR code above or just come on the day! I hope to see you there! by @passingthreads.au
Get to know me… and my OCD!! @ocdwa @iocdf #THATSOCD #ocdawarenessweek by @passingthreads.au
• O C D A W A R E N E S S W E E K 2 0 2 6 • It’s nearly OCD Awareness Week!! As a proud member of the @ocdwa Board of Directors, and a person who lives with OCD everyday, I will be sharing a whole bunch of resources and events with you all! You may wonder why, as a born and bred Victorian who now calls Canberra home, why would I be on an OCD Board in Western Australia? @ocdwa is the ONLY not-for-profit organisation in Australia with the aim to advocate for people living with Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders (OCRDs) and to address longstanding gaps in understanding, access and support. This in itself shows how little understand and knowledge of OCD there is in Australian and globally. As always I am a totally open book and my DMs are always open to anyone who has questions or needs support. #THATSOCD #ocdawarenessweek #ocdisnotanadjective by @passingthreads.au

What a wonderful time we had at the @queanbeyantrashandtreasure the other weekend! As some of you know we had our beautiful Senior Golden Retriever George with us during the Market. I mentioned to a few people that we knew his health was declining, so we wanted to give him at least one more fun adventure somewhere we knew he would get so many pats and lots of love. Last Friday our Georgie Boy passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. We are absolutely heartbroken, but we are so glad that he was able to get out for one last adventure. Thank you so much to everyone who gave George a pat and some love on market day. It’s means so much to our family. by @passingthreads.au
