There were so many moments throughout this journey where this day felt so far away. College for me was never just classes, assignments, or exams. I grew and learned so much about myself and life. Within my first two years, I lost two very important people in my life, my aunt and my dad. Grief changed everything for me. There were so many moments where it felt impossible to keep going while carrying that kind of pain.But through every breakdown (because there were many) every stressful semester, every moment I wanted to give up, I kept pushing forward. Watching my mom do everything she could for me as a single mother gave me a different kind of strength and motivation. I knew I had to finish not only for myself, but for the people who believed in me even when life got hard…and somehow, through everything, I walked away with not one, but TWO degrees.These degrees mean so much more to me than just graduating college. It represents resilience, healing, growth, sacrifice, and choosing to move forward even when life tries to stop you. I’m so proud of myself for making it here, and I know my aunt and dad are with me through every accomplishment and every step into this next chapter! Overall , this ONLY the beginning 👩🏻‍🎓🤍B.S. in Psychology + Women & Gender Studies by @passion.visions
