POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

flash, memory.

Dedicated to the memories that toggle between seeming like they’ll last forever while feeling like they’re never long enough. Dedicated to the struggle between trying to preserve those memories in real time versus trying to be present in real life.

As Mos Def once said… “Memories don’t live like@people do”.

Starring my beautiful partner, Yasmine.

It’s one thing to be able to revel and feel the emotional range of one’s own success, but its another thing to be able to feel that type of pride and joy when you see it happening for somebody else, it’s a beautiful thing.

This video was taken approximately one year ago during my annual visit to Japan and knowing how much my guy @ma76bball has grown and progressed since these set of moments Ive cut into a short feature, is astounding and only gives me hope and reassurance that anything is possible if you work hard enough towards it. Seeing his posts and growth as well as the tidbits of news and updates Im able to receive through messages, is amazing coz my guy is most deserving of every blessing!!! If you aint up on him, get acquainted man, coz this guy is something special. And I know for a FACT, that I’m not the only one who knows this.

I had the amazing opportunity of handling the cinematography and working with the amazing cast & crew of @jujuwebseries on this promo visual for their upcoming series premiere which is slated to drop on Oct 31st!
.
.
Major props and respect to these women who are figuratively and literally a representation of Black Girl Magic. And I must state this, I worked closely with @neen___ , who is not only a major central piece to the Juju crew, but she was the creative director and visionary for this particular piece. It’s been an absolute pleasure. being able to work and communicate with each other in order to deliver something special to the world. Her imagination and directional talent is something to really experience.
.
If and when you can, peep the FULL VISUAL via the link in the bio, and make sure to SUBSCRIBE to the official JUJU webseries channel, because what’s going on over there is truly something otherworldly. Oct 31 is only the beginning.

Flew to Vegas the past two days to help out with the homey @unemployedgang ‘s business venture. We had some time in between and visited one of the national parks nearby and I decided to bring my rig. We ended up shooting a pseudo 1 min documentary about legendary lone hiker, Granight McPherson. The funniest part was people actually thought we were members of a National Geographic shoot 😭😂😂.

So....
I decided to shoot a short on something that is very personal, and that's with my social anxiety. This has happened multiple times in my pursuit to be more outgoing and to be a more sociable person. I know it's not an easy thing to face and that it's not uncommon but not so frequently talked about because it can be quite embarassing. If you're somebody like me, well you're not alone!.

Filmed using the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K.

Here it is, the latest episode of my #PASSPORTRAITS series starring the one @yuki_avocado 🥑 .
.

Yuki and I first met last year while shooting my short film in Tokyo. She quickly became one of my favorite people to work with so I was ecstatic to hear she had plans to come to the U.S. even if it was on thw opposite coast! We managed to shoot an interview, supporting b-roll as well as an impromptu photo shoot in a matter of hours. I had soo much fun editing this to the point where it felt like I was with Yukii on her journey through every step of the way. Please make sure to check out her work as she is an incredibly multitalented person. Enjoy enjoy Enjoy!!!!!!!
