Join us on Thursday the 20th August for the 6th celebration of our friend and LEGEND TY. Chijioke

We are back continuing and honouring his vision to showcase and shine the light on grass roots UK Music.

We are Passing THE TORCH for TY

Thursday 20th August 7-11pm

Arch555 Brixton on Valentina place.

Next to TY’s mural. Painted by the late legend Bunny Bread.

This event marks the sixth anniversary of Ty’s passing. Celebrating his Birthday🎉 More than just a tribute, Pass the Torch for Ty is a continuation of the original event created by TY in 2019.

Ty’s vision for ‘Pass the torch’ was to create a performance space to showcase emerging and established rappers, singers, DJ,s and other creatives within the often un-recognised grass roots UK Hip Hop scene.

Ran as a showcase, the event offers a curated collection of musicians a platform to showcase their talents, network and party within the community as the DJ’s create the vibe before and after the live show.

If you love Hip Hop culture you will love this event!!

The Pass The Torch house band will be performing alongside Essa, Jazz Kahina, Teach, FRSHRZ, SMOOFLOW, Tinala, Ellisse, OnlyOneOnlySon + A Special Guest

Hosted by: peaches

Music by: Nikki Stylus + DJ Snuff

In line with TY’s fierce commitment to growth within his own community with proceeds raised at the annual Pass The Torch event being donated to the Brixton Soup Kitchen, a charity close to TY’s heart that provides essential services to people experiencing homelessness, poverty and food insecurity in South London and across the UK.

Calling ALL torch bearers to come down support the legacy and to help us raise money for a great cause and keep that Ty’s vision burning bright🔥

@kevin_bennett1 breaks down why it was so important for us to support @brixtonsoupkitchen on their back to school drive this weekend.

Making such a positive impact on the local community. Seeing many vulnerable families needed our support and it was an honour to provide support.

Make sure you got to: BrixtonSoupKitchen.com and make a donation and make a real difference 🤍🤍🤍

I finally got the chance to see amazing artist @kam_teach_em 🇯🇲🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 perform. She’s is such a gifted and talented MC. I was too nervous to approach her on the night though. Apart from that everything about her performance was perfect. Definitely on another level. Keep ok doing your thing with the music superstar. Great show overall.
