🇬🇧 June is the month of roses for me 🌹 Our whole garden is filled with their fragrance, and fittingly, Snow-White and Rose-Red has been our favourite fairy tale over the past few weeks. That inspired me to bring the beauty of the roses together with a little fairy tale world on our nature table.
The idea itself came from @gilinggalangphotography , who once created the most enchanting The Frog Prince nature table. It stayed with me ever since and inspired me to create a fairy tale-themed nature table of my own.
I love it when the seasons and the stories my children are immersed in come together on our nature table.

🇩🇪 Der Juni ist für mich der Rosenmonat 🌹 Unser Garten duftet gerade an jeder Ecke, und passend dazu ist bei uns Schneeweißchen und Rosenrot das Lieblingsmärchen der letzten Wochen geworden. So entstand die Idee, die Rosenblüte mit einer kleinen Märchenwelt auf unserem Jahreszeitentisch zu verbinden. Inspiriert wurde ich dabei von @gilinggalangphotography , die einmal einen so zauberhaften Froschkönig-Jahreszeitentisch gestaltet hat, dass mir die Idee eines märchenhaften Jahreszeitentisches seitdem nicht mehr aus dem Kopf gegangen ist.
Ich liebe es, wenn sich die Jahreszeiten und Geschichten auf dem Jahreszeitentisch miteinander verweben.

🇬🇧 A little look back at our nature table in May 🌬️🌼 Dandelions were our companions throughout the month - first bright yellow, then transforming into fluffy seed heads carrying little wishes on the wind. Children often don’t need much to discover nature. One dandelion clock is enough: blowing, wondering, and watching the tiny parachutes drift away.

🇩🇪 Ein kleiner Rückblick auf unseren Jahreszeitentisch im Mai 🌬️🌼 Der Löwenzahn war unser Begleiter durch diesen Monat - erst strahlend gelb, dann als Pusteblume voller kleiner Wünsche im Wind. Kinder brauchen oft nicht viel, um die Natur zu entdecken. Eine Pusteblume reicht: pusten, staunen und beobachten, wie die Schirmchen davonfliegen.

[Ad/Werbung] 🇬🇧 #QuestionTheRules 📣 Yesterday, we took part in @joguines_grapat ’s experiment and asked our daughter the question: “Just for today… if you could choose one thing that’s normally not allowed in our family, what would it be?” Her answer was simple: going out for ice cream (See today’s Stories for the video).
It’s not really something that’s forbidden. Of course, we do go out for ice cream - just not very often. We value healthy eating and usually prefer making our own ice cream without added sugar or unnecessary additives.
And yet, her answer stayed with us. Because sometimes children aren’t trying to push boundaries. Sometimes it’s the little things that feel special to them. An unexpected treat, time together, the feeling of being listened to and taken seriously.

This small invitation reminded us to look at our family rules from time to time. Which ones really matter? And which ones do we follow simply because we’ve always done it that way? Yesterday, our “yes” was ice cream. And a reminder that love often looks quite ordinary: listening to our children and saying yes to something that means a lot to them.

And here’s to the children who ask, “Why?” The ones who question things instead of accepting “because that’s the way it’s always been.” They can be challenging at times, but they also help us rethink, reflect, and grow.

🇬🇧 Seasonal table in March 🌱 Mother Earth has cared for her root children through the long winter. Now the snow has retreated, and she sends the first flower children up to the surface: delicate snowdrops ring in the spring, followed shortly by the first crocuses, bravely showing their colors.
If you swipe to the end, you’ll see our little crocus children playing outside in our garden as well. Our whole lawn is covered with crocuses every year. My daughter loves to take her little house bag outside with her – and sometimes our flower children get to travel to the garden inside it.

🇩🇪 Jahreszeitentisch im März 🌱 Mutter Erde hat ihre Wurzelkinder durch die lange Winterzeit behütet. Nun hat sich der Schnee zurückgezogen und sie schickt die ersten Blumenkinder nach oben: Zarte Schneeglöckchen läuten den Frühling ein, kurz darauf folgen die ersten Krokusse, die mutig ihre Farben zeigen.
Wenn ihr bis zum Ende swipt, seht ihr unsere kleinen Krokuskinder auch draußen in unserem Garten spielen. Unsere Wiese ist jedes Jahr übersät mit Krokussen. Meine Tochter nimmt ihre kleine Haustasche gern mit nach draußen – und manchmal dürfen unsere Blumenkinder darin mit in den Garten reisen.

Today we’re celebrating you – with a little scene that my children (and mom 🤭) brought to life with so much joy. The colorful confetti, the cheerful table setting, and our tiny family gathered around it all stand for the warmth and playfulness you bring into our home. Our figures raise a toast to you, as if to say: Thank you for ten years filled with heart.
Your world of wooden treasures has been with us for so long. It gives my children a place where their imagination can grow and stories can unfold that are entirely their own.

🇬🇧 A long-awaited wish has come true – our living room play corner now glows with the gentle light of the @toverlux lamp ✨ Its soft glow fills the room with a calm, almost fairy-tale atmosphere – especially now that the days are growing shorter. We often sit in front of it, dreaming ourselves into the glowing images. Do you have a Toverlux lamp at home too?

We found ours at @gluecksbub – a heartfelt project by Gülten, a mother herself. It’s a shop full of soul, offering carefully chosen treasures that are sustainable, beautiful, and full of imagination. Each piece is selected with so much love and intention.

🇬🇧 November Table 🍂🏮 Our November seasonal table was inspired by the beautiful artwork by @joringl . Two little gnomes wander across the colorful autumn leaves, their lantern – a glowing Chinese lantern flower – lighting their way through the darkening days. Among the leaves, a small hedgehog has nestled into his cozy pile, while the autumn anemones scatter their fine seeds like frost across the scene. I love the earthy tones of this time of year – they bring so much calm, warmth, and depth into our home 🤎

🇬🇧 A few things rearranged – and suddenly our little living room play corner feels fresh again. The familiar scent of wood, the warm light, and our seasonal table bring such a sense of calm and comfort. In the baskets, little treasures wait for new adventures, and the magical tree wall art invites us to dream. My children and I love inventing new stories here, again and again.
