Curtis Holder PS @curtisartist Self-portrait, charcoal on paper, 84 x 59 cm, 2026 A breakthrough moment for me. I’ve never particularly enjoyed drawing myself, but inspired by artists I admire, I found a way through by focusing on fragments of my reflection to create the whole. In doing so, I created a self-portrait that feels honest, true, and like me. From a weekend of large-scale portrait drawing @draw_brighton with @jakespicerart. #charcoalportrait #selfportrait #selfportraiture #charcoaldrawings #drawingportrait Self-portrait, charcoal on paper, 84 x 59 cm, 2026 Detail of Self-portrait, charcoal on paper, 84 x 59 cm, 2026 Get @reshare_app • by @pastelsociety.uk

Richard Rees PPPS @artyrees A long time since I posted due to a search for some freshness and difference in my technique and subject matter. This picture - The Punch- is inspired by the boxing ability of my personal trainer Michael who is the figure on the left. The dynamism of the figures was an inspiration and this led to the use of a white acrylic outline on dark blue paper. I used soft pastel instead of my usual oil pastel which gave a greater choice of colours. The size is 42 x 58cm. I shall continue to investigate the technique in my next works and apply it to different subjects. #art #artistsoninstagram #artoninstagram #pastelpainting #boxing by @pastelsociety.uk
