Meet the Writer/Artist 2026 🌸

Hey, I’m Lily!!! If we have not met already, I’m a Christian writer/artist, who loves crafting stories for Jesus! I’m from the U.S., and I love all things storytelling, wholesome, and pastel (hence my name pastelwritess). I also love movies and video games and also YouTube (it’s my Netflix lowkey).

I have a total of four books in the works, so stick around for some awesome reels and posts about those! Or just be a friend! I love supporting other writers and artists.

And heyyyy, to all my irl and old online friends, love all of you so much! I’m really glad to finally do this post, especially around my birthday! I had a goal of hitting 1k by my birthday, but instead I hit 940. But I’m still thankful cause a year ago, I only had 125 or so, so I’ll take 800+ followers in a year! I love the growth but I’m especially thankful for all the friends I’ve made on here!! Yes, you reading this! 🫵🫶
Can’t wait to see all of you, new and old, next year! Maybe we’ll be at 1k by then 😅

Also, thank you @lavender_tea_scribbles and @writerbellafayth for inspiring me on what to put on my Meet the Writer/Artist post!

God bless y’all!!!

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

Zen, the MMC, has a lot of feelings about Iden, the FMC… a lot of confused, concerned, but overall loving feelings.

Also, don’t worry about the last few chapters. Zen isn’t shocked at Iden; he’s just concerned cause she might die— I mean what.

Also, wonder why Zen wears purple in the Epilogue… 💜💛 by @pastelwritess

Poorly-Explaining My Characters and Their Stories

This was actually so much fun to make, and all of them are so out of context. So, I’d love to see your thoughts on what it all means hehe. But also, I need to draw more silly drawings of my characters cause the ones I have aren’t as funny as I thought they’d be lol.

Also, sorry for not including Garrett, Tim, Isaac, and Parker! I just haven’t worked on them in a long, long time, and right now, idek what I’m going to do with their characters moving forward, so I just decided not to include them. by @pastelwritess

Daybloom 🩷☀️🌱

This is my character for my roleplay event, Echileia! I’m so excited to play as her; I really love her character and her design!

I’ve been so happy with how this art came out! After what happened to my arm, I was really sad I couldn’t do a lot of good art. So, I’m truly relieved to be back to doing beautiful artwork, praise God! I worked very hard on her for about a month, on and off, so the final product came out better more than I could have ever imagined!

Also, yeah, I had to do a transplant job cause I realized that the full bodies I drew were too spread apart and I wasn’t gonna have enough space to fit everything. So, I veryyyyyyy carefully cut Day out, and made the final product lol by @pastelwritess

Basically their canon dynamic in ADC

Even though Lukas is 12, he does have more experience out in the world than Judith.

But no, Judith does not explode at any point. by @pastelwritess

Wait, Iden, Wait

This is kind of a filler reel since it’s a current trend, and I don’t have a lot of time this week. I don’t even really like this audio for Ziden, cause while the first part matches for Zen, I don’t know if the part for Iden matches her. Cause she probably has a more pessimistic view of life, like good things only happen to certain people. I do think that she believes that patience pays off as a hunter and living on her own. But idk.
But also I added the last part because it’s like Iden saying that “the good thing” that Zen wants out of her is only going to come if he “waits,” which is kind of true in the story. He always tries to like rush for things to change, but Iden can’t adjust that quickly. So, I think when he “waits” for her, then they start to bond. Idk if that makes any sense lol

But also, Zen 100% DOES NOT sound like the first guy, ick. by @pastelwritess

Canon, btw.

And don’t worry, Zen’s not being judgmental of Iden; he’s just not quite clocking yet why she wants to leave so badly. But he’s trying his best to understand, even if he’s still not getting it.

(Also, don’t worry, she ends up going to the ball anyways hehe.)

Also also, if anyone reads to the bottom of this and wants to read this specific part in ADH, comment marigold. 🌼😉 by @pastelwritess

Judith learns what a painting is 😔

Zen also becomes a painting, FYI.

Also, technically, the painting in this drawing is inaccurate because they gave Iden brown hair… for some reason.

“Sully made me do all this… it’s his fault I’m like this.”

Run Rabbit animation meme by @ dalznnak on TikTok

I thought about putting this dialogue on the first part: “I’m sure Sully has a reason for doing that.” Basically, referencing the first moment Kai witnessed a traumatic event 😊

Idk if anyone can tell but Kai’s expressions here are SUPER deliberate. 🫣
And also, it’s not like Kai seeks forgiveness… but there is something that he did in Book 1 that he does regret… even if it wasn’t in the moment… by @pastelwritess
