For a long time, I ran from grief.

I thought if I stayed busy enough, smiled enough, worked enough… maybe it would stop following me.

It didn’t.

A few months ago, I finally surrendered.

I stopped trying to become the woman I was before loss. She no longer exists. This is the new me, the one who carries grief with grace on some days, and with trembling hands on others.

Grief isn’t only about losing someone you love.

It’s also the friendships that fade, the trust that’s broken, and the life you thought you were going to have.

These days, I sit in the bathtub and reflect. I let the silence speak. I let myself feel everything instead of running from it.

And through all of it, I’ve realized something…

I don’t want to spend the rest of my life surviving.

I want peace.
I want the beauty in ordinary moments.
I want to feel human again.

To every woman quietly rebuilding herself this Women’s Day, you are stronger than you know.

Here’s to choosing peace, even after everything we’ve lived through. 🤍

Everyone celebrates the trophy. Few appreciate the floor where the champion decided to get back up. @900memories
