I owe my loyal followers an apology. It was a very busy year and I just couldn't seem to get it together to post here! Thank you to all who dutifully submitted and I will try to make 2027 a banner year. In the meantime my own mother- @vef1943 - spotted this "Christmas in July" burnished beauty at Franklin and Francisco yesterday 7/27/26. What a way to celebrate summer!! by @pastyourpine

May is almost here but the submissions keep straggling in! 1) I spot this silvery wreath in the parking lot of Smart and Final on 7th Ave between Clement and Geary 2) sparse and brittle, sent in by @julcek68 and no specifications given but I'm assuming somewhere in Rhode Island 3) @mollyefarrell comes through excitedly with her first submission of the season with some snowman and reindeer decorations spotted peeking out a window on Magnolia and Webster 4) @rain_jokinen sends in the real deal- a remarkably green and intact tree on Washington and Leavenworth 5) @lanemurchison sees a sad wreath (and lamp?) on Union and Jones 6)and finally @philgalante sees this boldly out of season wreath proudly displayed on 11th and Pacheco #☠️🌲 by @pastyourpine

Happy Easter- been a minute since I updated but submissions have been a little on the slower side this year. But now that HE has risen- here are some of the finds from the past few weeks- 1) a solid decorated and proudly in window, sent in by @rau_haus and seen on 25th and Clement 2) and 3) @kelleygirlsf walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and see these Christmas remnants shoved in to caged off compartments in the bridge. Curious! 4) two bronzed and brittle beauties sent in by @philgalante and seen at the corner of 14th and 15th Avenues at Grandview Park 5) good boy Fletcher investigates and then, um, "waters" a table top tree on 18th and Clement, sent in by his human @marianamschwartz 6) from @stephbjones a sad submission from St Helena, toasty and tossed in a vineyard 7) @ggores sees a gutter tree On the corner of Scott and Oak 8) when the call is coming from inside the building, what do I see in the backyard of @egores and @stellaportation during my visit to Toronto?!? My own family! Elisa says it's good for bugs or something. Sure. 8) and my most recent submission from @onephotopatty , seen in Mill Valley, a pathetic petite tree plopped on a garbage can. #☠️🌲 by @pastyourpine

Submissions have been a little slower than past years! Is it possible people have caught on to my shaming? Anyhow- here is a batch from the last couple weeks, some just having come in yesterday 1) @lanemurchison sent in this outdated decor that he saw on Canterbury at Anthony in Austin, Texas 2, 3 & 4) all sent in by my most active international contributor @annlittlesimon and all seen in one night in the Mitte district of Berlin 5) I actually saw this posted on Buy Nothing on Facebook and then happened to drive by it myself, right in my neighborhood on Balboa and 42nd Ave 6) @laurieeburns sees this pink dream at Silver and Ledyard 7) I can barely figure out what I'm seeing here, but definitely of the Christmas variety. Good eye @rain_jokinen ! Spotted on Leavenworth and Clay 8 and 9) two separate prodigious piles, all seen in McCarren Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn by @kelleygirlsf . Is this how they dispose of trees in Brooklyn? Anyhow...April is right around the corner. Let's hope those dead trees keep coming! #☠️🌲 by @pastyourpine

Almost half way through March....let's see what we've got! 1) loyal follower @tiffclaflin spots a lil' guy standing strong on Sanchez in Noe Valley 2) @livingroomleopard has been on a roll- a double amber fantasy spotted on Noe and 19th 3) a once festive but now pitiful wreath sent in by my mother @vef1943 and spotted at Broderick and Greenwich 4) and another double trouble, one holding up only slightly better than the other, also sent in by @vef1943 and seen at Green and Pierce #☠️🌲 by @pastyourpine

A week away from St Patrick's Day and there is still a bounty of good tree finds out there! 1) a double dose with some random branches sent in from the ever vigilant @annlittlesimon in Berlin 2) @coachtuller sees a robust tree, perhaps trying to mail itself away from this humiliation, at the corner of Sacramento and Baker 3) a droopy wee tree perhaps trying to throw itself away, spotted at the corner of Sacramento and Leavenworth and sent in by @rain_jokinen 4) and adorned with a bow! Also sent in by @rain_jokinen and spotted at Leavenworth and Washington 5) the premiere canine tree hunter Sunny Jim and his pal @lanemurchison sniff out a tree on Polk at Greenwich 6) my mother @vef1943 and I see this bronzed beauty of a wreath unable to camouflage itself on the corner of Jackson and Steiner 7) a petite lil' fella was seen on Noe and Alvarado by @livingroomleopard 8) and finally an East Coast submission, admittedly still looking pretty cheerful, sent in by @julcek68 KEEP 'EM COMING PEOPLE! #☠️🌲 by @pastyourpine

Happy March! Spring is just around the corner and the trees are still rolling in fast and furious. 1) bold and bushy, sent in from @nelellwein , location undetermined 2) and 3) so proudly displayed in the window. Spotted by @kelleygirlsf who says it still had lights but no ornaments , located at Vasquez and Garcia 4) also sent in by @kelleygirlsf a cute lil' fella spotted on 19th and Noe 5) @laurieeburns caught this poor tree trying to hide in a bag amongst other trash on the corner of Baker and Washington 6) bushy but looking a little crispy, @wfleish saw this bad boy at the corner of Buchanan and Green 7) discarded wreath sent in by @vef1943 and spotted on Green between Webster and Buchanan 8) a reindeer stands guard over this bold beauty, with strands of tinsel still attached also sent in by @vef1943 and found on Vallejo between Octavia and Gough 9) finally a sparkling skinny legend in a window on Clement Street and submitted by @marian.heath #☠️🌲 by @pastyourpine

Wrapping up February with 1) the jackpot of tree lit up in window, sent in by @philgalante and seen at Girard and Mansell 2) ever loyal submitter @tiffclaflin saw this slim crispy cutie on 26th and Noe 3) and our international agent @annlittlesimon said you you can try to hide but.... 👀 to this petit fella spotted in Berlin #☠️🌲 by @pastyourpine

Heading in to the last week of February and the trees are still coming in fast and furious. 1) intrepid fan favorite Sunny Jim and his human @lanemurchison spot this molting beauty at Polk and Green 2) a bronzed recliner sent in by @vef1943 and found at Greenwich and Broderick 3) not sure what to make of this bushy gal standing tall but @vef1943 also saw her on her daily walks at Pierce and Greenwich 4) the motherload of a find, in window and still decorated sent in by @revolizionary and spotted at 14th and Lake 5) perhaps even better, proudly lit up and in window (!) sent in by @ggores who gazed upon its loveliness on Broderick between Hayes and Fell finally 6) and 7) both sent in by @annlittlesimon , our favorite international submitter and discovered in the streets- snowy and not- of Berlin #☠️🌲 by @pastyourpine

The slumbering giant has awoken and it is that time of year yet again! Now that Valentines Day has passed, let the hunt begin! My first submissions
1) spotted by me, a little early but was impressed by both the sparseness and creativity. On the Great Highway and Taraval. 2) the always intrepid and loyal follower Sunny Jim decorates one with his human @lindley_wells seen on Jackson between Hyde and Larkin 3) my mother @vef1943 has been hard at work on the look out and discovers this beauty on Vallejo between Gough and Octavia 4) also seen by @vef1943 , not a tree but our old friend hiding his face in shame at being seen in February 5) a wreath lies there miserable and exposed on Broadway and Pierce. Sent in by @alisonfaison 6) also submitted by @alisonfaison another creative use for bike racks seen at Steiner and Bush 7) and yes, @vef1943 is still at it, seeing this bisected beauty on Laguna #☠️🌲 by @pastyourpine

You can all celebrate Labor Day however you like, but I am celebrating knowing that the ever watchful @marian.heath spotted these two bold beauties trying to hide behind a stop sign at 5th and Lake. Nothing like putting your wreaths out on September 1st. 👏👏 #☠️🌲 by @pastyourpine

We find ourselves firmly in the middle of July with two excellent submissions. 1) this …dare I say…healthy looking? jovial? big boy was spotted by the husband of the ever on the hunt @kelleygirlsf in front of Rainbow Grocery on 13th and Folsom 2) another international submission, trying to hide but can’t escape the eagle eye of @annlittlesimon in Berlin #☠️🌲 by @pastyourpine
