Here’s the solo from @ironmaiden “The Trooper” to follow up from the other video I posted of Ben at his school open day.
Not bad for a 14 year old 🙌

Ben had an open day at his school last week and got to do a few of his favourite songs (The Trooper, by Iron Maiden) with him playing guitar to a backing track 🙌

I’m just going to go straight to the final stage today…I think with my tartan skin, we all know the process.

My youngest Ben, doing a wee acoustic version while in the Lake District on his hollibobs ❤️
I think the sheep in the background actually add to the vibe on this

We can now let the cat out the bag.
Parallel Covers Official will be back next year.
We’ve got everyone back, apart from our drummer Gary, who went onto pastures new in Margate.
So with that in mind….
As a well established band in Bishop’s Stortford…
We’re looking for a committed, reliable, good standard drummer to join us.
Male or Female.
We’re hoping to find someone roughly between 30 and 55 years old, as we’re looking for someone at a similar stage of life to fit the band’s current dynamic….although we will “bend the rules” 😂 for the right person.
We’re a party band who cover, Pop,Disco,Rock and Indie, so you would need to be adaptable.
We want someone who’s passionate about playing live and who can commit to at least 2 rehearsals a month.
We are a very easy going bunch and you will be welcomed as one of our own…but absolutely no egos.
You must have your own kit and transport, and are looking to be part of something exciting…we’d love to hear from you!
Drop me a message with a bit about yourself, your experience, and any videos or recordings if you have them.
We want to be up and running from January 2027 and looking to start rehearsals from mid October. by @pat_letford

Happy Father’s Day to my late dad.
It’s one thing they don’t prepare you for, is losing a parent.
When they’re gone, there’s no way to right any wrongs.
Give your dad the biggest cuddle today.
He might not be the cuddle type, but secretly, he’ll love it ❤️
