A little preview from the short film based off the legend of the “Stick Indian.”

Somewhere deep in the forest, Northwest tribes tell a story of a malevolent entity known as the “Stick Indian.” Known to cause dread, confusion, persuasion, and anxiety…especially to those who wonder alone. Will the hunter make it out alive?

A huge thanks to the homie @wolfryman for directing and having me be apart of your short film and the rest of the team that helped bring everything together. 👏🏾🔥🔥🪶🪶

This one was extra special as it allowed me to speak some of my Native language St̓át̓imcets. A language our people have been fighting year after year to keep alive. Although the words are not exact, as the lines were improvised and formulated very last minute, I did my best.

We’ve had some fun with it. Starting back in the late 90s, young small punk kid from the rezzo. How Hip Hop’ and Breakin’ has not only given me that freedom to express myself, but also uniting people of all backgrounds. I’m very grateful for all the ppl I’ve met along the way, the opportunities and doors the artform has opened up for me. #battlecry #Nkyapxn #Xaxlip #Statimc #hiphop by @patalec
