Kitty Bucket Hat is done!!! Well, by the time you see this it will be haha. Final step is to sew the top to the brim and that's it! 🌟👾🌟

I have a lot of long thick hair, and I love wearing hats. But not every style I do fits in a regular ball cap [like Bear Ears, or Space Puffs, etc] and it's kinda annoying to swap styles, especially when you have them totally even on the first try 😩.

So when I saw @andrew.won and his gore-tex bucket hat for his cat Mocha I thought "omg that's PERFECT"

I think he's the only one with a sewing version up lol; there's a million knit/crochet versions for cat hats and i rly needed a sewing example so thank you for posting that! 🫶

I used his video as a construction guide [never made a hat before], and used the free #moodfabrics bucket hat pattern for sizing. I measured myself, cut out everything for Adult M, and then pretty much guessed the proportions with cut-outs and making the side pieces and brim narrower!

I added some detail and reinforcement stiching, and I'm in love!!! I've been working off/on for like...2 days? Not terribly long, and I know studying the hat slowed me down haha. It's pretty easy tbh, make a kitty hat for yourself! 😸

Materials:
yellow 100% cotton fabric [outer and bias tape]
unbleached 100% cotton muslin [lining]
unbleached 100% cotton #10 duck canvas [brim interfacing]

🌟⚡️🌟 I cast....."MAXIMUM WHIMSY" UPON THEEEE!! 🌟⚡️🌟

My last batch of pics from the incredible Pride Gala, I'm so happy the garments from the first number were documented in all their glory. The coat and belt were cut, dyed, and sewn by me in a matter of 2 days, and I consider them some of my best garments so far. The accompanying chiton and corset were made in one day. The second costume is repurposed and upcycled from a previous cosplay I made. Very happy with how those little lights worked! 🌟 Mwah

Thank you so much to everyond to came out, and we can't wait to see you all TOMORRROWWW August 1st at @fourthtaco!! 🦾 Give some love to 📸 @mr_albertson!

go to the Mill!! do it now!! clear your schedule and eat a meal of the best ice cream you'll ever have 🫵🫵🫵 :3

yea had a chill bday this year which was real nice! i stacked my bday week with fun stuff with friends and projects, and then on the actual day [yesterday] mom and i snacked and watched birds by the creek :D it was *so* filling and peaceful that when we came back for old scifi movie chillin' time, i put one on and immediately passed out lol.

This year has been both less difficult and also more difficult than last year, but I guess that's every year, right lol? Overall it's going great so far and I hope it stays that wayyy!

Party party party!! 🐝🦭👾🥳🎉

[Old Mill Creamery is on your way to R.B. Winter State Park if you're lookin for it btw, can't miss it]

so back with the merch making, besties

Graphic design and character design is a big component of my job, and with all the consistency I’m really happy to make big projects again. I think I’ll open commissions again, maybe in December. These specific stickers are for a work event :] I don’t even think my last comms sheet file is on my current computer, geez! 😅
