We’ve changed so much since the beginning of Blumengarten and gone through many different seasons growing into adults, business owners, dreamers, hard workers. To me, Blumengarten was about the beauty of flowers, the awe of a flower field in bloom. This sense of wonder has followed me through my first home garden, my dream to start a farm on an allotment, all the way to now. I finally have a little slice to call my own. And of course I still love beautiful flowers, but I also appreciate the frenzied buzz of bees, knowing which frogs live in which hole, the excitement of watching a plant go from seed to bloom, and getting to put every spare minute and bit of energy into making it special. It feels like the time for a fresh start on this fresh new farm. A name that reflects what we are trying to build, not just a beautiful flower garden, but a diverse and extensive collection of unique plants and beings. An investment into our future and a repurposing of what is already here. It’s been a lot of time and energy to lovingly design this new little brand for our farm. I’ve been working a lot behind my computer to plan and create what I think reflects our flowers and hopes for this space. In the next few days, I will be trying my best to switch things over to new domains, usernames, emails, all that jazz while I also close up the fields for fall, plant out fall bulbs and plant babies for next year, and finish our last bit of design work for 2026! Anywho, all this to say, welcome to our patchwork 🌷🐞 by @patchwork.flowerfarm
Happy Thanksgiving Weekend! 🌼 Our flower stand is stocked up with mixed bouquets and these extra tall cosmo bunches! This is most likely one of the last weekends (or the last) for flower stand as our field slows down. Come and grab yours, all bunches are $15.00 each 🤍 Find us at 417 Highway 140, Welland from 10am-7pm today and tomorrow! by @patchwork.flowerfarm
Our October subscription bouquets went out yesterday and marked the end of another lovely subscription season! I’m so grateful to everyone who participated 🫶 by @patchwork.flowerfarm
September has been a BLUR! I’ve had such a lovely month building and tending this new field. Subscriptions were the picture of life and abundance. It really makes me so excited for this new chapter we are opening on Lyon’s Creek. Our Buchner Road plot has graciously provided blooms through the early half of the summer despite what little I have done for it, and it is almost time to move on from that space. I have so many emotions about these transitions in time – but the seasons will change whether we are ready or not. 🍁 by @patchwork.flowerfarm
From the garden to the studio for a special engagement this weekend 🕊️ Thanks @feederflowerfarm for the gorgeous dahlias! 🤍 by @patchwork.flowerfarm
It’s my favourite flowers time of year again!!!🌼 I don’t think there is a flower I have ever grown that I enjoy watching as much as this one. If you stand by for mere moments, you’re able to observe the spectacle of bees and hoverflies that buzz endlessly on the blooms. It’s a valuable Ontario native plant to specialist insects and generalists alike, PLUS it lasts ages in a vase and grows prolifically. Give it up for sneezeweed (does not, in fact, make you sneeze 🤭) by @patchwork.flowerfarm
Psst… something fantastical is coming your way with @pickadillybooksandcoffee 🤫🌠 Hints galore if you can spot them. 🩷🧡🌟 by @patchwork.flowerfarm

A few weeks ago for A&B 🤍 All local for our beautiful pals to get married at @kehoeandkin and such a fun day to be a part of! by @patchwork.flowerfarm
Larkspur!!!! How have I not grown more of this before? Such a whimsical and sturdy bloom! I love how tall and strong the stems are, despite having the appearance of such a delicate flower. Definitely growing this stuff in every colour next year! 🙌🏼 by @patchwork.flowerfarm
