Happy Monday!🌷I'm a bit delayed posting this as have been working on trying to get all my stuff on another platform and haven't quite finished it yet. Hopefully some time around Easter it'll be done and all my new pieces will be for sale. (I also missed the the sun for photographing at the weekend!)

I do want to make some pieces in larger sizes but have been limited with tablecloth and teatowel sizes recently but it is something I'm gonna try and work towards.🌷

I took a risk with this one but I'm glad I did! I'd been wanting to make a mash-up teatowel shirt for a while but hadn't stumbled across the right combination of textiles. I loved this vintage floral tablecloth I've had for a while and would have made the whole shirt from it if it had been bigger. I combined it with this Lake Como teatowel as the palette matched perfectly but had to use another tablecloth for the sleeves. (b.t.w there are 5 buttons I just managed not to button them all for the photos!)

Second jacket made from the amazing vintage curtains gifted to me by @sashafusini aswell as the cord and lining, thank you! 🙏🙏🙏

The first one with pink pockets sold. This one is fully lined but is warmer as I've added has woolen blanket inserts to the lower front and back panels. Tried something different this time by edging the collar with the cord. Pockets are lined with sweatshirt fabric and trimmed with the same cord remnant. Spent way too long making this, it sort of reminds me of a kind of deluxe tracksuit top now I see it on the hanger, maybe 'cos of the zip fastening.

A few pix and half the catwalk show @bournefortherunway on Saturday which was a showcase of local designer/makers. Slide 4 @maderoundthecorner team who's corset (slide 3) was created from left over t-shirt remnants.
Great to have my outfit professionally photographed and modeled. @amberlion @chish_k and to be included with so much talent. Thanks @naidasloves for co-ordinating. by @patchwork_park

I've been a bit quiet on here as have been trying to source fabrics for new Autumn/Winter pieces, have found couple of gems but will save them for another post.
Going through my stash I found these couple of linen teatowels. I thought a top would make a change from a shirt and really showcase the imagery. The small scale checks work well with the large gingham check of the back panel I think. V. Roomy fit so will fit a number of sizes. Really pleased with this one, think it's simple, but effective!! 🎃🎃🎃

**SOLD** One for all Peanuts fans out there... Didn't have enough fabric for both the sleeves so had to add the green dot fabric to the bottom half of one. I thought it was looking a bit US diner waitress if I'd made the other one the same so kept the other one intact then added the pocket with horizontal trim to balance it out a bit. Not quite added it to website yet, but available at @stanley_road_store if you're local to Brighton, (around a size 14).

**SOLD**Latest completely unique jacket. Not quite sure what to think of this as I wish I'd used ribbing for the collar, cuffs etc. to make it more like a bomber. Got some more of the fabric left so will try that with the next one...Massive thanks to @sashafusini for gifting me the very special vintage fabric that was once a curtain and used to belong to her Mum🙏🙏🙏🫶 by @patchwork_park

She has always loved colour, fabric and pattern and has collected vintage textiles as a hobby for years.

Apologies for lots of boring posts lately and I haven't done a making reel for ages but my tripod doesn't stand up properly so tricky to film and do stuff at the same time.
Anyway, two new simple tablecloth tops heading to @stanley_road_store
If you saw the "Sewing Bee" this week this is the same idea as their Mexican tops minus the square neckline. Both small sizes 8/10 to get two out of one tablecloth.

I've been back up North and had to get a new phone but am finally posting this - my entry for @creative_eastbourne "Bourne for the Runway" event.
The theme was "the sea" and I nearly pulled out as didn't have any sea-related fabric as everything I make starts with the fabric. However, I randomly found two scraps of wavy African fabric in Oxfam, then built the dress around that. The green and white print is a vintage remnant I had that fitted the bill and worked well with the other print as did the denim which I pieced together at the start of the year then didn't use for anything.

Looking forward to seeing it worn by a professional model on the runway in October.🌊🌊🌊 taken in Brighton, England, UK by @patchwork_park

Dropped three new pieces off @stanley_road_store earlier in the week. A smaller and larger pair of trousers and a pair of shorts in store and on my website! (Link in bio).
