Freebird Valley has become a home away from home for me.

What makes it home? The people.

Since moving to Denver, some of the people I’ve met through Freebird have become dear friends, collaborators and co-creators. Kris and Christy, who originally created this retreat center, set a tone here that I felt almost immediately: heart-centered, loving, authentic and deeply human.

There’s something about being in a place where people genuinely want to connect — where intimacy doesn’t necessarily require years of knowing one another, and where you’re invited to relax, be yourself and listen a little more closely to what life might be asking of you.

Of course, the stunning landscape is part of the magic too! There is a peace at Freebird that makes it easier for me to hear myself. And that peace isn’t about escaping the world. It’s about reconnecting with myself so that I can go back into the world more present, more inspired and better able to contribute.

That’s one of the things I love about Freebird’s vision: that everyone who comes here might leave a little lighter, experience a little more of their own light, and carry that light back out into the world.

I’ve had the privilege of meditating here, teaching Reiki here, sharing healing work here, laughing here, making friends here, and simply sitting on this beautiful land and breathing.

I love this place. ❤️

Astrological Jupiter has transited into the sign of Leo. Boldness is in the air! Creativity and personal flair, too! Time to bare and share our souls. And if it isn't a little scary, if it doesn't make us vulnerable, if it doesn't take some courage, then it's not really baring and sharing our souls. You just have to slow down enough, quiet down enough, and listen...feel...sense...heal...

You have to examine for yourself what are the lies you've learned from humans and what is the truth that comes from Life.

Everyday, center yourself in your breath, your presence, your love, your passion, your dreams, your worthiness.

Then go forward knowing that Life is on your side.

Things may not always turn out the way your ego wants them to, and Life can throw us unexpected curve balls, challenging curve balls.

But when you are centered on your spiritual path, you trust whatever life throws you. Ego doesn't know. Life knows.
