The Path Home team spent two days last week at the 24th Annual Basic Income Guarantee Conference with researchers and advocates who prove that guaranteed income isn't a handout, it's one of the most promising, evidence-based tools we have for keeping families housed. Our Basic Income Guarantee program is built on that belief, and it was energizing to be in a room full of people proving it works.

Thank you @thebigconference and @incomemovement for inviting Path Home to speak in the Building Participant Collective Power panel, where we discussed the launch of our third year of BIG programming.

We are so proud to announce the most successful, record-breaking Pickles Care campaign in club history, generating $21,894.99 in support for our three local nonprofit organizations during the 2026 season!

We're celebrating the end of summer with our annual butterfly release! Families in shelter had the opportunity to observe the caterpillars transform into butterflies and finally release them into Path Home's Family Village garden. by @pathhomenorthwest

Thank you to the 16 volunteers who packed backpacks for our annual Back-to-School event! This is the 11th year Path Home has put on this event thanks to direct support from John and Rachel Devlin (pictured far left).

What started as a project in John and Rachel's living room has grown to fill Family Village!

Every year, John and Rachel have sourced donations to fill backpacks with grade-appropriate school supplies for Path Home students and a $125 gift card to @TJmaxx so that every kid has what they need and feels prepared for the school year ahead.

Join us in giving a big Thank You to Rachel and John and the many volunteers who helped us prepare 158 backpacks for this event. Their time and energy made sorting a U-Haul truckload of supplies look easy! by @pathhomenorthwest

We're kicking the school year off right at Path Home!

Our annual Back to School event welcomed families in shelter to a celebratory and family-friendly filled event with sno-cones, alpacas, delicious food, free hair cuts, backpacks, school supplies, and gifts for students!

Whether children are starting school for the first time or entering their last year of high-school Path Home volunteers prepared a fun-filled event that left everyone ready for a successful school year ahead!

As we step into celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the United States, we’re taking a look at the history of homelessness in this country. 🇺🇲

From 1940s housing initiatives to slashed funding—the future of housing now rests in our hands.

How will we come together to ensure a brighter future for this country and thousands of families and individuals experiencing homelessness in Oregon?

Colonial america - the term homeless was used for the first time. Industrial revolution - urban overcrowding left many without homes. Civil war era - struggling veterans had difficulties finding housing. The great depression - families suffer extreme poverty after the stock market crash. The golden age of housing - federal government creates and maintains housing infrastructure. 1970s closure of inpatient facilities left people without care or housing. 1980s annual housing budget is cut from 80 billion to 20 billion per year. 1990s emergency response systems are funded by the government. 2000s - the 2008 crisis forces families of color to lose 200 billion in assets. 2010s homelessness increases due to high foreclosure rates and rising costs. 2020s / today - families and individuals face a significant housing stock shortage. by @pathhomenorthwest

It's a big dill! 🥒 Dillon from @picklesbaseball came out to celebrate Path Home families for our annual End of School Year event!
