The legend of the Apache, death cave from what I understand is unverified, but it tells a story of the Apache Indian stealing women from the neighboring Navajo tribe and holding them hostage. When the Navajo found out, they had unalive the women they blocked both entrances to the cave where the Apache were located and said it ablaze.

This place is supposedly haunted and cursed with a ton of crazy history, some of which I brought up in my last video about this location

Although some people believe it was just marketing from the settlers to sell Apache skulls, and that no real massacre happened because there’s no concrete evidence of it.

What I will say is this place felt ominous, and I didn’t even know the history when I was there. I was told about this place earlier that day by a local while I was exploring twin arrows trading post. He mentioned something about a legendary cave, but told me to do some research after I went.

The actual story in history is just as wild as the rumor of the Apache massacre. This place is truly a part of the wild West history.

The Alabama Hills of Central California.

There’s a reason why Hollywood chose this as a backdrop to so many famous movies, including Iron Man, how the West was made, and Django unchained amongst many other others.

You have the Sierra Nevada mountains and more specifically the towering Mount Whitney, the tallest peak in the continental US, towering above you.

Great for camping and stargazing and exploring.

Out in the desert, capturing the zodiac light that occurs in September and October.

To be honest when I was out there, I forgot all about it and when I woke up before sunrise and saw it, I assumed it was the sun rising. After about an hour of the sun, not rising then I remembered about the zodiac light and was happy that I was getting a time lapse at the time.

A nighttime phenomena that occurs every year there was probably more well-known back when there wasn’t as much light pollution and people would notice these type of things naturally. by @pativities

Hurt so bad I had to LOL

One split second absent minded decision, and now I have to deal with this for 2 weeks lol. Another reminder to slow down and think before I do.

Still overall had an amazing trip, minus the stinging burns for 4 hours of it 🤣🤣 by @pativities
