Of all the nights I’ve ever enjoyed, this will be among the hardest to forget.

I fell in love with the Knicks in 1986 when I learned that I shared a first name with the team’s star rookie Center, and they were my guys from that point on.

Being a member of the team’s radio broadcast for the last 11 years made it even more special, especially with all of the great fans who have been along for the ride.

But this team… these guys… this playoff run is as good as it gets and will live forever.

Found this old photo the other day… @stjohnsbball Media Day, October 2021 - A young Julian Champagnie grabs my mic and has some fun interviewing his Red Storm teammates.
Now, after scoring 52 points and hitting 12 3-pointers over the final 3 games of the Western Conference Finals, the #Brooklyn native and @loughlinlions alum will try to break the hearts of his hometown fans as he helps lead the #Spurs into the #NBAFinals.

One of the nicest athletes I have ever covered, I am very happy for his success!

A Throwback… Our family has always loved basketball.

However, despite being an #NBA broadcaster for 11 years, I am the only one who grew up in our house to never attend the #NBAFinals.

@mokeefela was the first. Her friend’s dad worked for the #NBA, and she got to go to #Knicks #Spurs in 1999.

@okeefe1420 had a college teammate whose brother won a ring for the 2006 Heat, so he not only got to a game in Dallas but was there for the clincher and was at the postgame celebration.

Now I’m glad I can finally experience what they have! by @patokeefe12
