Chapter 44 🤎

Since 4 is my favorite number, two 4s feel extra special. ❤️ I’ve had some amazing birthdays, but this one hit differently. Every gift felt deeply personal… a reflection of the thought, intention, and love behind it. I even ugly-cried a couple of times lol

This birthday reminded me that the most meaningful gifts are the ones that make you feel truly known and cherished. It was one of the best birthdays of my life… not because of what was given to me, but because of what was poured into me.

Chapter 44, my Obama year… the year I’m stepping fully into my power, purpose, confidence, and next level of growth. Cheers to the new year🥂💕 (spoiler alert… the last video is my favorite ugly cry moment lol) by @patriceshani

6 years ago, HBCU Live! at the US Open was just an idea. Today, I’m proud that The Grant Access has been trusted to produce it every single year. 🎾🖤

There’s something different about building an event when you actually understand the culture you’re building it for. The pride, the history, the weight of seeing HBCU excellence centered on stages (or courts) that haven’t always been tailored to us.

That’s why representation in production matters. When agencies with real HBCU experience are behind the scenes, you don’t just get logistics, you get authenticity. Details that matter. An event that feels like home, especially at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

6 years in partnership with USTA and I still get chills every time.

Here’s to many more. 🏆

Culture. History. Pride.

Screaming HAPPY 9TH BIRTHDAY to my stink stink… my little poota… my MVP!!!! 🥳⚾️🎉

Nine years ago, you changed our world forever. Watching you grow into such a smart, kind, determined, and fearless person has been one of my life’s greatest blessings. Whether you’re making big plays on the baseball field, making us laugh with your effortless humor, or eating us up with your extra smooth demeanor, you do everything with your whole heart.

Ace, never stop believing in yourself, working hard, and shining exactly the way God created you to. I can’t wait to see all the amazing things this new year brings for you.

Happy 9th Birthday, @thekidacebarlow! Keep swinging for the fences, chasing your dreams, and being the incredible boy you are. Mommy loves you more than words could ever say. ❤️🎂⚾ #HappyBirthdayAce #Chapter9 #MyMVP #FutureLegend by @patriceshani

Me: earns 3 degrees in psychology. 🎓🎓🎓
Also me: becomes an event producer. 🎉
Mom: So you’re not going to use those degrees I just paid for?! 😩

Understanding people? ✔️
Managing chaos? ✔️
Predicting behavior and decision-making? ✔️
Keeping everyone happy? I could write a thesis 😂

Turns out event production is really just group psychology with timelines, stakeholders, and very high expectations.

Three years. Tens of thousands of attendees. One standard of excellence, no exceptions. 🪧✨

Proud to share our BTS recap from The Roots Picnic, where The Grant Access managed all festival signage from concept to execution for the 3rd year in a row. From load-in to last call, this is what it looks like when the details are done right — bringing the same energy every single year.

I don’t even know if I have the words for what my heart feels today!!!!! My baby girl has officially made her decision and she is headed to THE Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University!!!! 🧡💚🐍 Of all the places she could have chosen, knowing she chose my overly beloved alma mater literally brings me to tears. To watch Jada grow into this beautiful, brilliant, driven, confident, and amazing young woman has been one of the greatest joys of my life… and now I get to watch her walk the same hills, make her own memories, and become part of the FAMUly I love so deeply. Jada Sheree, Mommy is sooooo proud of you!!!! FAMU is getting another one of my greatest blessings (as she joins her big brother)… and I cannot wait to see all that God has in store. Rattlerssss, we got another one!!!! 🧡💚🐍 *as I proceed to play Trick Daddy and K-Wang alllllll day!! 😂😂* @luxuryglambyjay by @patriceshani
