I’m not a runner…

At least not the kind you’d expect.

I’m a 90kg hybrid athlete.
Former Kickboxing World Champion.
Always chasing the next challenge.
Always looking for the next limit to break.

The longest I had ever run before this? 21 km.
A half marathon.

And somehow… I decided to go straight to 50.
No marathon. No 30 km runs.
No “perfect preparation.”

People told me I was crazy.
That it doesn’t make sense.
That you don’t just run 50 km like that.

Maybe they’re right.

But I’ve always been the kind of person who hears “you can’t” and takes it as a challenge.

So I showed up.
And I finished 50 km in under 5 hours.

Not because I’m a runner.
But because I refuse to accept limits someone else sets for me.

Athletes, you’re going to feel alone.
Because you’re choosing to do something that others won’t understand. They’ll question you, maybe even poke fun at you.
Why? Because, you’re standing out doing something that others don’t have the courage or chance to do themselves. And that path is an isolated one. They won’t understand, but do they need to? All that you need to know is that you want to, and you’re happy with your choice. Even if that means being alone for a bit. Because you know that the loneliness is a part of something greater for yourself.
