The Little Mermaid - Drury Lane Oakbrook - 2024 - Eric

The first audition I sent in my freshman year of college was for a production of The Little Mermaid. Two years later I’m seeing Cinderella at Drury Lane and at intermission I pointed at the Little Mermaid poster that was up in the lobby and said to Fia “I’m gonna be in that.” The following year I was sent home from the EPA after not being seen, and showed up two weeks later for the ECC and the rest turned to be a dream I never knew I needed. Thank you to all who transformed my life and helped me introduce myself to this city!

The first national 2025 revival tour of the 2024 Westend transferred Broadway production of Elf, has come to an end!!

What a complete shock to be ending my year on this, bluntly, fun ass show. A continuous flow of gratitude and thanks to @daasolomon @richardjhinds @castingbyarc @graytalentgroup and other powers that be for entrusting me to join this show on the road!!

Thank you to this COMPANY!! I have never been so grateful and honored to be grouped with this team. From a Ricky Hinds full rehearsal day to 14 hour travel days, because tis the season, a government shut down, it was almost impossible for me to be having a bad time because I got to be with them the whole time. Any stress or struggle throughout this process, all of them, and this show made it worth it! Love yall!

In October of 2021, my second month in Chicago, I began working for @broadwayinchicago as a subscription sales agent, and still do. Elf the musical happen to be on our season subscription which means I was selling seats to my own show, that I was unaware I would be in, for four months before I got the offer to join the company.

The above is the event code of our opening night in Chicago, 12/02/25. E, stands for Event, and A, stands for The Auditorium Theatre. The Auditorium Theatre happens to be the exact stage I walked across to receive my diploma, back in May. Getting afforded the privilege to dance in my alma mater was one of the most rewarding feelings I’ve ever had. Many thanks to all my teachers cause fu- I was not dancing like this four years ago! by @patrickj.johnson
