HIT IT FARTHER - often the way to hit it farther is to swing more up into the ball to launch it higher and spin it less. This is a good way to do that 🤓👆🏻

SWAY PATTERN

CLUB FACE AWARENESS - I first saw this drill from @cmccormickgolf when he posted this on instagram. This is such an easy way to learn where the club face is and what your tendencies are when making a downswing. Like my student here, if you practice this for a few minutes a night, I bet you will start hitting the ball straighter!

Hole 16 at @bolingbrookgolfclub is a great one as well. Pounded a drive. Pulled a wedge. Hit the putter a time or two extra. Great fun

BACKSWING - if you couldn’t tell, I like punch shots and pause drills. In this case the student was feeling like their head moved away from the target, and the hips moved towards the target. This helped the entire body stay centered during the pivot rather than swaying

Online lessons work!

Comment “learn” and I’ll send you a code for a swing review on @skillestapp

This Student was struggling with shanks and slices. Starting with a better set up makes the rest of the swing easier. A better back swing makes the downswing easier, etc.

This guy puts in the work and we’ve made some crazy progress already!

The signature hole at @bolingbrookgolfclub is crazy good. Green looks absolutely tiny when you’re out there.

Little knockdown 8i from 155 got the job done.

Great course. Will be back.

I always hit it better out of fairway bunkers. Honestly, probably because it’s the only time I actually focus lol

LEARNING 👇🏻

This might be the most boring video I ever ever. It’s probably also the most important though. the biggest thing I can give any of my students is the understanding of how to practice and how to learn. It can be a slow process, it can be arduous, or can even be quick and easy. But knowing how to ingrain motions and learn the right way is the most important piece.

Quick 9 hole jaunt the other day. First time swinging in two weeks. Rusty.

DOES BALL FLIGHT MATTER? 👇🏻

Yes. And also no.

It depends what phase of the learning process you’re in. It depends what you’re trying to fix. It depends if you’re trying to fix anything in the first place. It depends how you played yesterday. It depends if you have a coach. It depends.
