What. A. Day. 🦁🏈

As the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellow at Penn State, I figured the last home game of the season was the perfect time to finally post something from a Nittany Lions gameday — and what a way to close out the home stand. Huge W. Electric atmosphere. Beaver Stadium absolutely unreal.

Grateful for all the attending physicians who’ve guided us this season and made opportunities like this possible. From pre-game prep to sideline coverage, every moment has been incredible. Huge shoutout to my cofellow Jeff as well.

And honestly… running out of the tunnel with the team? Unreal. A moment I’ll never forget.

I normally keep my captions short, but I felt I wanted to share this one.

Back when I was a grad student at Georgetown, I remember grinding day and night, wondering if I’d ever make it into medical school—if becoming a doctor was even possible. One morning, I was woken up by the sound of thousands of runners passing by. It was the Marine Corps Marathon.

Fast forward a few years, a few degrees, and a lot of faith later—I’m back here in D.C., this time on the medical team as a Sports Medicine Fellow with Penn State.

Things always work out. Trust in God. Trust in yourself. The road isn’t always linear, but the adventure is beautiful. 🇺🇸💪🏽 taken in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. by @patrickmatian21
