Consistency is the name of the game.
Don’t believe me? Let me prove it to you.

Take a second—what’s your favorite restaurant?
Think about it.

Is it your favorite because the first time you went it was amazing, and the second time you got food poisoning?
Or is it your favorite because every single time you go, it’s just as good as the first time—the food, the service, how fast it comes out… all of it?

Coaches are the same way.

They pick players that make them feel comfortable.
They pick players they know are going to show up the same way tomorrow.

They don’t want the guy who’s great one day and all over the place the next.
They want the same dude, every single day.

So think about that before you go out there chasing a 67-yard kick with a 6.7 hang time (yes, that’s an exaggeration) every rep.

Coaches want consistency.
I’ll say it again—coaches want consistency.
