POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I like it when a book totally catches me off guard in all the best ways. When I read the synopsis of this book, I made so many assumptions about what I may encounter when reading it. However, I got a lot more than I expected, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Our FMC Fawn was such a joy to read about. She was mouthy and stubborn and super hard headed. However, underneath it all was this level of vulnerability that was raw and authentic. I guess losing your kingdom will do that to you.

Then there is our MMC Caden, the Raven Prince. He was not what I expected, and I loved it. His army helped destroy Fawns kingdom. Talk about chaos in the making or is it? He is everything I wanted and more. I love when I'm unexpectedly surprised.

The character development was really good and the world building to me, was exceptional. The story was nicely paced, but let me tell you what ... that ending had me in a choke hold. Can I have book two like yesterday?

This is definitely one you want to add to your must read list because I see this as that dynamic series everyone's going to be talking about.

🌊 BLURB 🌊

The mortals are freezing. The Fae are being hunted. The Hells are burning.

All because the Throne of Gods is broken.

But the price to mend it will shatter Lyra’s heart…

Dragged into the Seven Hells, Lyra is forced to marry the fallen god who betrayed her. Yet Riven is no ordinary captor, and in the Hells, nothing is as it seems.

Bound to a past Lyra cannot remember, she will do anything to find a cure for the curse consuming Rythos—even if it means marrying her enemy. But the deeper she falls into the Hells, the more she realises her connection to Riven threatens far more than her heart.

Above the Hells, the Commander of Death is running out of time. The bond torments him, forcing him to feel Lyra falling for another while the curse rots him from within.

Determined to hold Lyra one last time before he dies, he sails the Dead Sea in search of the only woman he has ever loved.

But when Lyra uncovers the monstrous truth behind the broken Throne and the Commander’s curse, she realises only one sacrifice can stop the kingdoms from collapsing forever…

Caught between the monster made to kill her and the god who refuses to let her go, Lyra must decide between saving the Kingdoms, or her heart.

Because the throne demands more than blood.

It demands heartbreak.

The 1960s were a time of growth, politics, change and tension. Now, imagine being a kid in that time and trying to discover who you are and where you fit. The story talks about political divides, religious division, separation by social class and more. While it is a very short read, it packs a lot into those pages.

The main character autumn is a voice from Jewish descent. He has a crush on Sally, a girl from a catholic background. While the main characters were phenomenal, I think my absolute favorite character was Gladys. She gave these adolescents a different view of the world that they were walking in.

The author did a good job of finding that delicate balance of talking about prejudice and social injustice. I give this 4 out of 5 stars.

I wasn't sure exactly what to expect when I started reading this book but I definitely got more than I expected, and I enjoyed the ride.

Verith was a really great character. Someone who was severely underestimated because of her decaying magic and seemed more as a nuisance, or something to hide away than something to be cherished.

I loved every aspect of her personality. She was abrasive and sarcastic but man, she had a tenaciousness about her that was to be respected. I loved getting multiple points of view. It helped enhance the story.

When a seer gives her a glimse at the prophecy, thats when Veriths journey truly begins. This was a four out of five star read for me. It was very well written and is definitely worth adding to your must read list.

This book was a breath of fresh air. Such a refreshing change from my typical fantasy reads. I love the story of how the assassin has to take the place of the missing princess she was sworn to protect. Now she is the royal bride.

Just remember the names Dayyan and Yildiz because the slow burn of this unexoected but destined love story. The secrets, the lies; the political intrigue added to the tension of the story.

I absolutely love the setting of the story. It was very well written, and I could clearly picture everything in my mind.

I could say so much, but I don't want to spoil it. So all I can say is ... you must read it. This book captured me and never let me go.

I love anything that is based on a true story. This book was very well written and really gave you a good insight into the mindset, he community and just the world that was being lived in during the World War II era.

The story is told from the perspective of one female whose family relocated, and she ended up serving her country in a way that she never expected. This tells of the resilience of the women who were serving their country during this time, often doing jobs designed for men. Not to mention, often doing things that they never imagined that they'd be doing. Things that had to be kept secret

You can tell that the author really did her research in writing this book because it felt so authentic and real to the time period.

This was more than I expected, and I loved it so much. It is one hundred percent, a five star read for me. Everyone needs to read this book. by @patsyannrivera

I will be the first to admit that this book was a hundred percent, not what I was expecting at all. However that's a good thing.

Rusty was an amazing character. He is a sixty year old man who literally takes a bullet to save others. In those moments between life and death, he has a real hard look at the life that he lived versus the life that he could have lived had he made different decisions.

I feel like this book really resonates with a lot of people, because who doesn't think about their life and what could have been if they would have made different choices. However, we also look at the fact that would we really be happier if we'd done things differently. Sometimes, maybe the best life worth living is the one that's right in front of you.

This book is heartfelt and emotional, and really makes you think about a lot of things. I give the four out of five stars.

I love a good romantasy but I also love one that is filled with emotional damage. The writing in this book was so descriptive, that I could visualize everything in my head clearly.

Alvara what's a phenomenal character. It was almost like you could feel the loss that she was dealing with. Trying to restore her faith and find something tangible to hold on to was one of the rawest emotions.

This has everything that I love: the genuine slow burn romance, trauma and loss, found family and an emotional journey that is as real as it gets.

I give this four out of five stars. by @patsyannrivera

I could honestly say that I had no idea what to expect going into this book. This has a dual point of view storyline which I love.

I had not read the previous book and while a few pieces of the puzzle were missing, it didn't detract from everything that sucked me into this book.

This book takes you on an emotional journey that I don't think any of us are prepared for. My chest ached through a lot of this book. I think being able to see the past and what had happened and then look into the present, gave the story a unique point of view.

I love the character of Sam and feel like I will go back and read the first book just to learn more about him. Yva was another amazing character with so much depth. She has this strength and resilience that makes her character exceptional.

I honestly don't know how to summarize this book except to say just read it. by @patsyannrivera
