Every now and then, a special record comes along that you think “everyone must hear this”.
This is such a record.
Think James Bond meets Massive Attack, it’s that good.
Hope you all love it as much as we do X by @pattern_perception

Big love to @chrishawkinsdj from @bbc6music for championing my music since the album dropped. Absolute gent, met him a few weeks back and he’s exactly as sound as you’d hope.
Please follow Chris’s socials, he has some amazing interviews and currently filling the prime time afternoon slot where he belongs.

The track he’s been spinning is our flip of “Smalltown Boy” by the legendary Bronski Beat, some of my biggest musical heroes. I made this one with the amazing pop icon @starlingsworld , who took it to the next level with our version Smalltown Girl. I can’t understate how lucky I was to work with Harriet this early into my music making journey, she has taught me stacks and is an absolute pleasure to work with. Please check out @starlingspeaks and her other socials for amazing music and music career advice 💫

The full extended version is out now on streaming platforms as part of my album Spectrum Disorder via Out Yer Box Records, and we’re dropping the single on 24th October with some very special remixes from @zed_bias, @bassdominators , and @djsamtownend .

Keep tuned to the page for more details 👀

Big love as always to the gang at @jack_said_what and huge thank you to @steveriggs_anarchyaudioworx and @mrstevemac for the amazing mixing and mastering work they have provided. Thank you to @bbcintroducing for early support with this. New producers, get at the uploader ❤️

Much love ❤️

While the UK is losing its head over weaponised misinformation driven by billionaire’s agendas, social media algorithms, and misplaced hate, a voice shines through with a deeply profound message. @leftbrainuk’s words cut through the facade of right and left division. The message is unity, not divisivness.

As we walk headfirst into a time of unrest and vitriol, please take the time to stop and reflect on your actions. Common decency exists across the multitude of cultures we are lucky to have in this country. Our strength has always come from solidarity, compassion, and the ability to stand together when those at the top try to pit us against each other.

Do not let the politics of the few rob the humanity of the many. Neighbours are not enemies, and strangers are not threats. We are more alike than different, and the power of change lies not in division, but in unity.

This mash-up of The Dream by @johntejadaofficial is available to download now on my SoundCloud. Please also check out LeftBrainUK’s page and support the movement. Art installation was completed over the Aston Expressway in Birmingham by the brilliant @fokawolf. Not to forget, huge respect to @lisamoorish for the amazing work she has been doing to raise awareness on many of the important issues we are facing in society at the moment ✌️❤️

First track I’ve uploaded in a while as I’ve not been on the right space for making music recently. I’ve really enjoyed starting this one off this week.

Taking it back to my love of soul music, jungle and acid lines with this one, called Deliberation.

Still a work in progress, but I’ll be back to finish it soon. Would love to hear your thoughts in the meantime ❤️

My set from last month for the good people @brumdaddy at Deadwax, Digbeth is now uploaded! It was such a great day, thank you to everyone who came down and had a dance.

Had a load of fun playing some of the music I’ve been listening to recently, alongside a few tunes I’ve been rinsing for 30+ years. It’s peak time set between 130–140 BPM.

Here are a few clips from the set, but the full recording is now live on my SoundCloud, link in bio / Linktree.

Expect tracks from @leftfieldmusic , @azomusic , @slam_djs , @longislandsound_sos , @hueandcryofficial , and a few of my own edits/productions thrown into the mix.

Big thanks to @riggsy_dharkfunkh and @carlloben3000 for the mention on the very first Our Era podcast!

It was a really interesting listen, with some great shoutouts to a few fellow @jack_said_what label mates, including @nickellemusic2 and @danielifans . Ace to hear the love being shared and the stories behind the music.

I always appreciate the little jibes from Carl 😂 makes me feel all warm inside.

If you get a chance, make sure you check out the full podcast and subscribe to the channel. I’m sure there’ll be plenty more excellent guests and interesting conversations to come! 👊

✌️❤️

Thanks to @theojohnsonuk and @mallyb09 at BBC Introducing West Midlands for playing Ache over the weekend!

I was at Boomtown at the time, so I’ve only just caught up with the show, always packed with some seriously good music.

If you missed it, Ache is available on my SoundCloud as a free download.

Much love as always for the support ❤️

Had an impromptu warm-up set for the top people @lumina_clubevents yesterday.

Was great to get back behind the decks at @suki10c after what must be about 15 years! The place still has that proper grassroots, underground vibe, full of great music heads to chat to.

A couple of videos here, including the chance to road-test a few new productions 👀

Think warm-up sets might be my new favourite thing…

Huge love to everyone involved, save our venues! taken in Suki10c by @pattern_perception

Back from @boomtownfairofficial and somehow it feels like a dream every single time. A proper pilgrimage. ❤️

Spent it with some of my favourite people on earth, surrounded by an amazing crowd, met some brilliant new people and, as always, witnessed some of the most upfront music and ridiculous production around.

10/10 as always. Even if I am currently suffering from the annual Boomtown lung 😂

Already looking forward to 2027.

See you there. x taken in Boomtown Fair by @pattern_perception
