@katiusha_dj ‘s Patterns of Perception 132 opens with a softening at its edges - chromatic inflections seeping deep into the structure as awareness lifts and mutates. Rubbery low-end anchors a mix that coils even as its terrain turns strange; filtered, distorted, assuredly disorienting.
A deliberate, effervescent arc, textures welcoming and alive, and an arrival that is both ecstatic and inevitable.

@tek_dec ‘s Patterns of Perception 132 marks a change of pace, settling into a 120 to 130bpm range and letting the extra room do its work. Percussion leads - low-slung grooves pared back to something clean. Rhythms shift and multiply, restless in their variety. Rare cuts from the margins. Clouds gather. A collective breath.

@ophelieeeee__ ‘s Patterns of Perception 131 moves at the pace of intention - dub-rooted and sub-heavy, with a gravitational pull that draws even the most weightless textures toward ground. Ethereal vocals and ambient passages drift, never unmoored; low frequencies holding everything in quiet orbit. Grounding music for a life in movement.

Radio time upcoming today 🌀 I’ll be tuning into summer frequencies with b2b guest Steve Duncan 💫

Steve Duncan is a Helsinki-based DJ working across rhythm, texture and memory. Favouring warm grooves and fluid tempos, his sound bends kaleidoscopic nostalgia into modern abstract forms. He’s recently recorded superb mixes for @harmony_rec and @mnmt.no where he explores trippy and forward-driving soundscapes.

As a co-founder of Berlin-based platform Patterns of Perception, Steve has spent years building a space where the dance floor stays porous and open to unfamiliar rhythms.

For our sesh, we’ll explore sunny-dubby-clubby sounds. Join us at the studio for dancing (downstairs at Kaiku) or on the waves 〰️

@piezopz ‘s Patterns of Perception 130 is a vivid, enveloping thing - neo-psychedelia and spectral warmth expanding across potent polychromatic rhythms. Trance formed with intention; kinesis held at low altitude, dynamic and absorbing. Timed to coincide with his Sky Burial EP on @anaffisanaff - a release steeped in themes of transcendence and transformation - this is Piezo in ascent, coursing through the open air.

Our latest #Mostra26 recording comes from someone who has been part of the festival’s story since the very beginning as one of our Mostra residents🖤

This week, Timnah has shared her set from our fifth anniversary edition via Patterns of Perception. Taking over the Saturday night slot between Toé and Surgeon, she guided the dancefloor from broken rhythms into 4/4 territory in front of a packed Vall d’Hebron Olympic Pavilion.

Reflecting on this year’s edition, Timnah recalls 🗣️

“This year was truly something special. Many of my closest friends from Switzerland were there, which was absolutely lovely. It was also Mostra’s fifth anniversary, and I’m really proud to have been part of it from the very beginning. For me, Mostra is a wonderful annual gathering with lots of good friends from near and far. The musical exchange is incredibly enriching and always a great source of inspiration.

I had a brilliant slot between Toé and Surgeon on Saturday night. That meant I could make the transition from d&b steps to 4/4, which I always really enjoy. The atmosphere was really nice, the place was packed and you could feel the great vibe. So once again, thank you Mostra!”
